A indigenious plant in South Africa
Protea cynaroides aka King Protea. It has the largest heads of all protea species and originates from South Africa on the ranges of southern Cape Province. This one was found at Mount Tomah Botanical Gardens in Mount Tomah, NSW, Australia on a rainy morning. This one isn’t open yet, but they are glorious when they do. Canon 350D with macro filter on 50mm lens. f/11, 1/125 sec, 200 ISO.
