These are my 2 nieces at Frontier town, They got to dress up however they wanted. Here they were sitting on the bench because they were pooped, I turned with camera in hand and saw this Kodak moment, The girl on the left saw me getting ready to take the picture and smiled, the other girl was starring off into space both heads cocked in the same direction. How cute are they!!!

This bluebird female reminds me of a prim little lady, sitting prettily on a branch with new spring leaves. The real story, though, is that she is in great trauma as a sparrow is threatening her nest. Just goes to show that we never know what’s under the surface of still waters.

Featured in “Windows and Doors” 8/26/08 As I walked through Old Town Ellicott City in Howard County Maryland one morning, I spotted this amazing, amusing door. This side of the street was still in strong shadow, while the opposite side was in brilliant summer sunlight. I thought the brass plate “Proper Dress Required” an ironic and poignant nod to glory days gone by.

Taken with a Canon 50D, Canon 100 – 400 L series lens @ 400mm, F5.6, shutter speed 1/125 second ISO200, edited in Photoshop Whilst in Kent we visited several wildlife reserves, this shot was taken at Howletts Wild animal park where they have several tigers who have a vast enclosures to cause mischief in. They also have the largest selection of captive gorillas in the world. Please view large
