Presently surprised tonight to stumble across my second avitarment (if it wasn’t a proper word a minute a go it is now) when I saw my pic Northern Promontory Textures as the avitar for the Collective Collage group. A little thing I know but it is a nice little thing all the same. Cheers trav

After my last journal enquiry it seems to be unanimous, self promote and be proud, / (Sigh, weird to just come out and say it like that). Anyway Just had my pic Tidal River Reflection featured in ‘That one Great Shot’ group. Yeah Thanks as always for all the messages and encouragement, I try to reciprocate when I can but don’t always get time, four young kids tends to fills up life a bit. Cheers

Just got home from acouple of days with my kids down at Mornington Penninsula and checked my rb account to find that I’ve sold a poster of Heavenly Path to a mystery buyer. Thankyou so much whoever you are. Speaking of the Prom me and Tony Middleton have just started a Wilsons Promontory group for those of you who are interested in joining or checking it out. Cheers Trav

I must admit that I have no idea why people gravitate to some images more than others although it’s very nice when it happens. Therefore the popularity of my Wave Rock image for me is somewhat of a mystery. Obviously I’m proud of taking a nice shot but personally I can’t understand why this one is two to ten times more popular than other pics I’m equally proud of. This one is currently the 159th most popular on the whole of the bub and has just passed it’s 3000th viewing last night, with 221 comments and 127 favouritings. As grateful as I am to everyone for all there support I must admit that considering it’s popularity I’ve found the lack of accompanying sales a little perplexing. Yesterday however the dam finally broke with my first card sale of wave rock to a mystery buyer, so thankyou so much to whoever you are, it appreciated more than you know. On the other side of the coin my most popular shot off the bub in terms of card sales (I produce my own range) has been Grasstree and South-east Point . On the bub despite being posted around the same time as Wave Rock this one has only been favourited once and has had 172 views and 6 comments. Now don’t get me wrong I’m not complaining I’m simply fascinated by the nature of popularity and how something can be so popular in one place but go almost unnoticed in another and visa versa. The other interesting phenomena is pics that get heaps of favouritings but hardly any views. Popularity??? Thanks as always for reading and commenting on my inane ramblings. Cheers Trav
