This image was shot using 35 mm colour transparency film then chemically cross processed (e6 to c41), doing this can give you lovely green hues. The original analogue photograph was then scanned and only the cubed effect was achieved using photoshop. Some cubes were also slightly desaturated with photoshop too.

Yesterday was, quite simply, a rotten day in many ways, however I did have a very short time with the lovely Arnavaz, who came to my studio to be photographed by a couple of friends. They were still at it by the time I arrived home from work, so I grabbed the first camera that I could find quickly, and started shooting. Turns out it was the Canon 5D, and the lens on it was the Lensbaby composer at f/4. This was my first go with the lens, apart from a couple of shots in class, and I’m VERY impressed!!! This is for najeroux. When my film came back from the lab and I pulled this photo out of the bag I nearly dropped my hat. A triple twist of champion arcitecture, HolgaMadness and (accidently) Magritte. I don’t think I can top this. So I am going to stop. You can relax now Danny. At the end of a sunrise shoot at Charlottes Pass, Kosciuszko National Park, one cold autumn morning, the sun was catching the frost and that caught my eye – luckily I had a sleeping mat with me to lie on to get down and get this perspective. (brrrrrr!!!!) Taken on slide film and Cross Processed, then scanned…
This man works infront of the Empress Hotel in Victoria, British Columbia. I bought two prints from him, one based around Mother Earth and the other based around the Tree of Life. He has an interesting look to both himself and his prints. On a sidenote, I went back to Victoria about 8 months after I took this, found him selling his wares at the same place and gave him a copy of this photo. The version here is actually the 3rd reincarnation of this shot as I haven’t been truly happy with the post processing until now.

Waking up early isn’t my forté, but this magical sunrise pulled me out of bed and down to the river. The morning mists were rolling down and the water was dead calm, as if not wanting to disturb the day. The photo is cross-processed medium format velvia and retains some imperfections.
