I’ve made this available as a black on white SS t-shirt. If you fancy the design bigger, smaller or in a different colour or place, I’ll see what I can do.
There are some places in the Melbourne GP that exude luxury and exclusivity – the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes corporate “village” is one of those.

The original watercolour painting was commissioned by a client several years ago. However this painting has remained one of my personal favorites because for me, the horse’s expression says everything there is to say about dressage. NB. For several years I signed my artwork with my first and middle name only.

James Toseland, moved up to Moto GP this year from world superbikes which he won the championship twice. James is doing very well this year so far although he did crash about three times in the practice sessions and again at the first corner in the race, I think trying to hard for his home race.
Valentino Rossi, nothing more to say.

I looked at this image, and I kept seeing that fence, so I figured I’d try a little selective colouring to see if that would help any, and this was the result! I’ve discovered that as a general entry patron of the Grand Prix, the shooting angles were not the best and everywhere you went you kept having to deal with the fence. There was only one place where I was able to manually focus past the fence to get resonable results, so next time, I’ll have to buy a grandstand ticket or tickets to one of the corperate boxes to get clean shots!

Another scan of an old print of mine. The photo was taken during tyre testing at Estoril, on the day after the grand prix. In those days, a case of bluffing was sufficient to gain access to the garages; I don’t think that would be possible now. Also in the garages at the time – Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost (testing for Williams), Jean Alesi, Michael Schumacher. The signature is on the original print, obtained from Damon Hill at the Autosport Show in Birmingham.
This is an exercise in blur with PS Elements – the original photo was Nigel Mansell stationary on the grid. I’m not 100% sure of the outcome but thought I would put it up for comments. Edit – Added some radial blur to the tyres and tidied up a few edge details.
This Williams FW07C was driven by the Australian F1 World Champion Alan Jones during the 1981 season, which was his last year driving in F1. / Alan won the Driver’s World Championship driving a Williams FW07 in 1980 through his wins in the Argentine, French, British, Canadian, and United States Grand Prix. / The FW07 was further developed during the following years into the FW07B and finally the FW07C as pictured here. Best viewed large I took this shot at a recent historic event at Silverstone…and played about with it just a bit in Photoshop! / The car and sky were in the same original image, but I ‘introduced’ the bushes in the far distance from another image and brought the sky down a little in order to remove people, and other cars that were in the background. / I also had to be very patient, as every so often somebody would stop by and peer into the car getting in the way of my shot! I hope you like the result. Featured in ‘Cars, Motorbikes and Motorsports’ group Nikon D80. Nikkor 18-135mm. 1/1250 f8
