This shot was taken through a frosted glass window from a street in Stanmore, Sydney. The light was just right on the best sunny winter day so far this year. I decided to leave the spots of dirt, paint and splotches – makes for a more rustic look too, which I like.

I’ve been playing with it for getting on for a month now and the recent changes are really looking good — it’s really come on since the first version I got to play with. Here’s mine. Show me yours. A new addiition to my welcome home series.. I spotted the cute little house covered in fresh snow and had to capture it. The beauty of freshly fallen snow for the holidays is always something you remember. / The title comes from the small sign almost hidden on a post. There are a number of locked private jetties that line the edge of the Blackwood River in Augusta. I got up early Christmas morning and managed to squeeze around one of the gates with camera and tripod in hand, I might not have taken this photo if i wasn’t so successful getting around the gate splash!

Do memories remain long after lovers are gone? If you sit here, will you hear the whispered sighs and the lingering goodbyes of those who spent a quiet afternoon wrapped in each others arms. Does the tenderness remain, long after they have gone? / I would like to think that I could feel the dreams that they had for future times together. As the seasons change around this spot, those memories remain, once caught on the breeze as it moved thru the trees, bits of it remain causing the autumn leaves to turn a brighter tone of red and gold and brown. The trees will tell you, if you listen, that once there was yearning, and words of desire spoken here and now those same people also in the autumn of their life, still love, still cherish that day that meant so much to them, so long ago! Wishing everyone a Valentine’s day to be cherished, if you need a special spot to meet someone who means a lot to you, you may use mine!
