Hello! Another week another RedBubble release. This week there’s a couple of new things – the ability to bulk delete BubbleMail and a sneak preview of a the RedBubble ‘private site’. The private site is designed to allow you to create a site showcasing just your work. The thinking behind the private site is that RedBubble needs to evolve into a much more dynamic website. Everyone wants different things from RedBubble. Some folks are here for the learning, some are here to sell, some are here for the positive feedback, some are here to be entertained. Et cetera. We’re never going to be able to create one static site that satisfies all needs, so over the next little while we’re going to evolve RedBubble into a much more dynamic site that people can tailor and adapt to suit their needs. The private site is still a few weeks away from public release, but we’ve got a very very early beta product ready for today and I’ll like to show you all an example and ask for your feedback. The example site can be found here and I’d particularly value general feedback on the new configuration menu which appears to the right of the large images (the menu is still a work in progress) and the options you’d like to see us offer in the private site as we build it out over the next couple of weeks. And finally we stumbled across this review of RedBubble a couple of days ago. We love these reviews and they’re great for improving the Google rank of RedBubble and all the work on RedBubble. So if you feel like writing about RedBubble please ‘go nuts’. The more links back to RedBubble the better. You might also want to check out all the tools for linking to RedBubble available here. Have a great week! Peter

Camping a couple of nights at this beautiful spot was almost surreal…surrounded by tropical rainforest and the calcium rich waters from flowing through limestone country made it look even more idyllic – seclusion,isolation..add some fantastic company and a natural heaven is there.. as always – thanks for viewing and yes these are/were the actual colours of the original transperancy. / / EOS A2, Fuji Velvia 50. / ©T.Middleton2007 / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—— / / see more of my photography from Nth Qld below / /

Now that the method for creating private bubble sites is an open secret I guess many people are having a play. I’ve been playing with it for getting on for a month now and the recent changes are really looking good — it’s really come on since the first version I got to play with. Here’s mine. Show me yours. PS: At any given moment mine could look horrible, I’m still messing, still trying to break it. ;-)

We have been busy plugging away at a number of things over this last week (and a day). Much of this has been for work that is still ongoing, but we do have a few small enhancements and under-the-hood changes out on the site now. We have made some small fixes and enhancements to the ongoing challenges beta over at The Challenge Café group. There have been a few test challenges complete already, and there are two more test ones currently running (Water and Black and White Photography). Please get involved if you are interested! We hope to enable challenges across all groups within the next few weeks. Work on the Redubble Private Sites has progressed well, and we will be starting some beta testing of that over the coming week. Otherwise there have been some further small enhancements to some of the product previews that you will start to see over the coming days, and we have made some significant systems changes that will allow us in the near future, to make your Activity Monitor an even more exciting place. Though for now, things should look exactly as they did. Enjoy! - John

Shelley Beach is another of Portsea’s wonderful stretches of bayside coast. This beach, as with others near by, hosts several interesting jetties and beach houses. I really love this photo for it’s layering of colours – the effect in the sky is called ‘Neptune’s Rings’ and is a rare atmospheric phenomenon. When there is a certain amount of particles in the atmosphere (perhaps as a result of bushfires), the spectrum of light is separated in to more prominent and distinct bands of colour than would normally be seen. This effect, combined with the colours of the plantlife make the scene so interesting.
