    by Peco Grozdanovski

I saw the reflection of that “prisoned” tree in the window, while I was enjoying a mountain climb here in Macedonia, a moment before i could see it free. It gave me a thought of what are we doing to our mother nature and couldn’t resist to pull the shutter of my camera as a modest contribution to a free green planet.

    by Helen Bascom KMA

    US$10.00–US$266.76

Louisville, Kentucky USA 21 April 2008 10:06 PM EST This shot was NOT easy due to another photographer trying to take this same night shot using a flash. From this vantage point, the city is one mile away. He ruined 5 of my long exposures with his flash. Finally, I politely ask him to please let me get one good shot. / MCN: C30-NP3U-4430 LIMITED EDITION PRINTS CLICK HERE

  • Escape Infinite Future Chaos
    by GCPhoto

    US$4.56–US$121.60

Took a different approach for the photoshpcreative07 competition and decided to reverse the concept. Here a lone survivor condemned to a future of infinite chaos manages to escape back into a alternate past of infinite possibility. This could be a physical escape or projected from within the travellers mind; an internal escape to fantasy, much like the ending of Brazil. Have since sold the image for use on the cover of the Griffith Review – yay.

    by Xenia Victoria Rhein

    US$3.42–US$91.20

For me this is my best photo ever. I was in safari park and it was very difficult for me to watch all these baboons inprisoned and sadness in their eyes was extreme strong. I love animals very much and at my home I have quite a ZOO. I try to do so much for them, to rescue them, if nothing else I feed now so many birds in my yard, this is at least what anybody can do.This image change my way of thinking about us humans very much. I hope this image will move you the way it moved me and force you to do something good for animals. Thank you very much for viewing my work. Xenia!

I almost touched someone today / Almost

One of the blessings of agoraphobia – and yes, there are a few – is that it gifts you with a finely tuned awareness of safe spaces. Watching life pass by my porch was both a tantalising and yet devastating reminder of what I was unable to embrace. I couldn’t leave my house for an appallingly long time, and I’m still dealing with the intimacy that encompasses reconnecting with people. I still have a lot to learn.
