yup, another one of her… i did a while bunch of drawings of her back in 2004. the “angelina stage” heheheh / this was was done mostly in graphite pencil on smooth bristol paper and in some parts i used a black prosmacolor pencil. as you can see, i never finished it…moved on to something else. happens with most of my work i guess :)

started a new drawing tonight… about 3 hours of work so far, will try to finish tomorrow. Black and white prismacolor pencils on canson paper. I wish prosmacolors were erasable. Does anyone know any tricks on how to erase them if you make a mistake? / this is supposed to be Jessica Alba. She has heavy makeup on in the red pic, so doesn’t really look like herself, but I liked the shadows :/

this is the concept art for a cover-up tattoo. i submitted my photoshop dorking around with the lineart for this… but this was first. not sure i care for either too much, sorta cheesy… but maybe i like it that there are so many overused tattoo archetypes represented. or i’m tired and tipsy.

Imani used to come to school every morning with the same look on her face, as if to say “don’t mess with me I am still sleepy”... but by the end of the day she was all smiles. The image was created on heavy card stock paper using Prismacolors.

This miniature drawing combines abstract and realist elements in a funky contemporary aesthetic. A small robin perches upon an elaborate crimson and lilac abstract design. The background has an elegant floral abstract motif, upon which is superimposed a section of sheet music from Life is a Dance by Strauss. This colored pencil drawing was crafted with many layers of color. Every spot on this piece was made from at least three layers of color! For example, the blue background was created by an initial layer of Lavender, then a coat of French Grey 10%, then another layer of Lavender, then a layer of Ultramarine, and finally a layer of Non-Photo Blue.
