At Day’s End As the sun goes down over the front range mountains of Denver, Colorado, the Sunflowers turn, in anticipation of the sun coming back up in the morning. Photographed in a field where all you can see for miles and miles is Sunflowers….billions of Sunflowers. An entire sea of yellow and gold….caught in my lens for a fleeting instant, where the whole world was at peace…. And that is exactly what I did, slowdown, park, get out the tripod, and started shooting away! Often times the most beautiful things are the things which we fail to notice. Life’s little things, like this for example. My intention was to head for the mountains and normally when doing so, I wouldn’t even be paying attention to the sky, let alone stopping to shot it. Well, this time I took some time out so I wouldn’t miss it! Glad I did to, it was downright stunning! No one around, as you can see, just me, the breeze, and the colors of nature. I have always said that there is something about being up at this time of the day….and yeah, there is. Processed in HDR, long exposure using my 4ND and my CPL, let me know what ya think watchers! Print to come.

A New Years Sunrise While not a sunrise in the traditional sense of the word, but it sure seemed to be with the sun hiding behind the clouds, back lighting and glowing everything around me in a colorful haze in Moraine Park inside Rocky Mountain National Park. It was nothing but stunning! Quite the way to start and kick off the New Years I think! Processed in Photomatix HDR with 3 RAW files, then output through PSP 10, , shot on my 5D and Minolta 18-200 DT using a Singh-Ray CPL, and then hiding behind the car to shield myself from 80 MPH wind gusts lol The crazy thing is, the haze in the background, is actually from the snow that was falling and whipping around. A wave crashes the London Arch, on the Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia, at sunrise. This was taken at the end of autumn on a very cloudy morning. I used a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera, 18-55mm lens and a tripod. I sold a large framed print (walnut and on red bubble) to my kind sister, Nadia, that she bought as a house warming and birthday present for a lucky friend. Thanks so much Nadia.
