I purchased some of my own cards and recently received them. I was totally blown away by the quality of the printing, the thickness of the card and the attention to detail on the back (the thumbnail photo and artist info). Well done redbubble and if you are thinking about purchasing from this site, based on the quality I have seen so far, everything larger should be exceptional as well!

I’ll put a piccie up later. Unfortunautely, the frames of two of them are a little damaged, but good old RB are sending out replacements, how’s that for service! / Esp when it was most probably the couriers fault, not RB’s. Apart from the damage, what can I say? FLIPPIN FANTASTIC QUALITY! Beautiful clarity in the images, and the frames are superb quality. I like that the title and artist’s name are on the back too :) They even come ready with plates and hanging wire, so they can just be, well, hung! No work needed. THANKS RB…..YOU ARE SIMPLY THE BEST!!

Well, I’ve got my cards. Well impressed with the print quality from redbubble. The card itself is decent thick stuff, far better than any Hallmark crud you’d get in the shops here. They’ve done a good job of retaining red/yellow saturation in torfinn ’s midnight in lapland II, which I know from experience is hard work in sRGB on paper. What I do notice is that the card of davep ’s Monochrome Fen has just right sharpness on the card, while it looks deceptively over-sharp in both normal and large views on the web. Hmmm, that’s one to bear in mind.

Let me preface this by saying I love Red Bubble so far – it’s my favorite POD site! We have shops set up on 4 other sites, and RB, in my humble opinion, is the best. That being said, I’m frustrated with some stuff. The biggest problems are the watermarking issues (which I know are being worked on) and the fact that I can’t do anything about the positioning of our images on products. For instance, I’m concerned about the way some images might print on cards. If you look at the Mr. Frog’s Fireside Holiday card preview it looks like the text will probably get cut off at the bottom. BUT if you then zoom in on it, it looks fine! Does anyone know whether or not this is a problem? Does RB have any control over how this will print? Do they have a good quality control program in place to insure the image is not cut off? I’m only expressing concern because I know at Zazzle, they claim to have stellar quality control over the products; yet many people I know have ordered product and been very disappointed with the quality. (And don’t even get me started on their return policy…!) I have some other little nit-picky issues with Red Bubble, but I’m just trying to be patient and have faith that the kinks will be worked out. If anyone has any advice or experiences they’d like to share, I’d love to hear from you all! :)

So I got my first tee in the mail today- all be it after 9 days to print and 12 days to ship – but I’ll forgive them being christmas, and it’s my 21st today so maybe they planned it! I ordered Petra and I reckon it looks pretty sweet. The tees are really nice, not too thick and a good fit (much better than printfection.com). The print quality is fairly good, a little blurry in some parts, but it was a fairly complex image to print so that’s ok. I’m interested to see how flat blocks of colour with print. I was really impressed with how RB present the product too with the wrapped sticker and cardboard insert. Good job. I think it’s definitely a must for designers to buy their tees to evaluate them. The designs take on a new form when printed, and you find bits that do and don’t work, which you don’t notice on screen. Anyway I’m up to fix a couple of things on Petra, so it’s a better product for you guys! Thanks RB, / Barton

Hey All, I’ve just ordered a few prints for myself, by myself.. they turned out awesome.. I was a bit dubious as to the quality of the prints, until I got one. I bought a print of “Approaching Storm” for a friend of mine, I got it on the mounted board, rather than the framed print.. awesome quality. Can’t wait to get some more.. I might have to order some from other photographers too.. :) - paul

Once again … I am on a POD and I’ve listened to all the wonderful things about their printing, their products, and the quality from other people … and what happens when I buy something? I’m disappointed. I purchased my EmotiKey Wink shirt and it arrived on Monday. I was thrilled until I unrolled the shirt and looked at it. The printing quality is great but the color is for lack of a better word … crap. Looks nothing like the shirt preview on the site here which is darker than the my image but it still caprtures the basic golden yellow color. What did I get? Something that ranges from greenish gray mud to a lemon yellow. It really is unpleasant looking. I don’t know what to do and apparently neither do they. I’ve used these colors before on other PODs and one got them real close if not on the money. RB seems to be of the opinon the problem is with my image … I’m not so convinced of that. they said, “if you save it as RGB, then we will reproduce it as accurately as possible.” Well to my eye it’s not even close … like I said it doesn’t even look like the preview on the site. Does any one out there have any ideas that can help me? Has anyone else had color issues here? Is it possible that the images I create with their blends of colors are just too difficult to print on T shirt printers? Do I have to limit myself to flat colors? If so … EmotiKey! is dead. Frankly folks I’ve just about had it with most of these PODs and their promises of what they can and can’t do. The only place I have been consistently pleased with the printing is Greeting Card Universe but I haven’t seen them print EmotiKey! yet. I am very, very frustrated. For me it’s starting to be Zazzle all over again and that made me stay away from the PODs for nearly 2 months. I am really at a loss … I think these shirts could look great … if someone could print them. It’s off to blow some more money to see what Zazzle is going to do with them. I have spent a lot of money to see what these PODs can do … most of the results have been disappointing and it’s mostly color reproduction I have a problem with.

One of my images was included in Gaia. I just recieved my Gaia gift from Red Bubble-I spent it all on cards from both my own images and also from my favorites list. The print quality is truly excellent and the paper that the cards is printed on is really nice-super heavy. I am really pleased. Thank you so much Red Bubble!

I just received the two calendars I ordered from RB last week ( okay I admit it, they were 2 of my own but I wanted to judge the print quality against my own work, initially) and I just wanted to thank RB for producing a top quality product. I am not only very impressed with the print quality and design, but the prompt delivery and excellent packaging. If anyone is hesitating buying any of the RB products as Xmas gifts, I can assure you that you won’t be disappointed and neither will the recipients. I’m VERY fussy about print quality and if RB’s products were lacking in any way, I would have said so. Well done RB!!!Top marks from me.

To any of you who have been thinking about buying a framed print from RB but were unsure about it for some reason, I can tell you that you can go ahead without any reservations at all. / I have just taken delivery of a framed print ( okay, one of mine…’A Rake’s Progress’ to be precise ) and I am blown away by the quality of not only the printing, but the framing, the matting and not least, the packaging. It is so professional and classy looking! Using acrylic instead of glass is also a masterstroke! Impossible to tell and looks terrific! / I congratulate RB on producing a first class product yet again!

just a brief on Redbubble and Quality Control. Had a Great Christmas and was pleasantly surprised when my friend Micheal emailed me and said the 2 large framed prints from Redbubble had arrived. I must say that was very quick, about 10 days from placing the order. / I went over to his place and looked at them. / the first glance was awesome!! / huge framed prints with red wood border really set off my photo’s of the red golden kalum lake winter sunset. The Prints looked exactly like they do on my computer screen and were sharp and vivid!! / I would say Redbubble does an awesome job of print Quality !! / BUT !!! / The Frames although very Beautiful to look at were not finished properly. / the corner joints on both photo’s had small gap’s that are very apparent and are unacceptable—the joints were coming apart!. / The Matting on one Picture was cut very course and had a ragged edge. / Both photo’s had debris from the matte and other material visible which was distracting as this debris was under the glass. / It was like the framing and matte were a rush job with no quality control done at all. / I must also point out that one frame had a 3 inch long scuff mark in the wood frames side. / My opinion is that a customer would rather have to wait a couple more days if the Quality of work is high and done right in the first place !! In conclusion— / my friend said he would buy prints from Redbubble and he has told me there are 2 more sales of the same photo’s but he is telling everyone not to get the framing done with Redbubble. This is really too bad as the prints looked nothing short of awesome !! I also realize that it’s possible to get the work redone, but he’s opting to get the local framer fix things up and also frame any new prints ordered.
