  I am doing a presentation for postgraduate management students on the topic of worklife balance. I wanted to use the above photograph in the context of childhood and the slow development into adult responsibilities that factor into why resilience and establishment of values are important. When I asked the photographer if I could use it in my presentation he generously allowed me to do so. I love the red bubble website because it is so positive, especially the feedback, and it allows voyeurs like me who enjoy photography so much visual pleasure. The Little Princess picture conveys so much life and emotion. My instant response was one of peace and happiness. I appreciated what Antonine was able to convey in just one shot . I will keep looking for his pictures as they appear on red bubble. I will also acknowledge in my presentation the source of Antoine’s picture and those of other photographers who also gave me permission to use their photo. Hopefully, this will lead to more interest, sharing of photographs and some sales for those who contribute.

  So I left Melbourne on May 5th and arrived in L.A on May 5th. Was taken straight to my new home, the Diamond Princess cruise ship which is the biggest thing i have ever seen. / The next day i got shown the ropes and by the third day i was doing my first shoot as a cruise ship photographer. / Wasn’t aloud off the ship until we got to Vancouver where i went photo crazy. It’s just so mind blowingly beautiful there. / Many pics to come when i get access to photoshop. / I’m currently sitting in a cafe in Juneau, Alaska. It’s freakin freezing here but after three coffees who can care anymore. / Now it’s back to work and off to the crew bar tonight to celebrate nothing in particular. That is the cruise ship way of life!

  Sketching since I can remember, giving my drawings for free not ever thinking that this passion of mine would ever get me anywhere. Sewing for my dolls and having my first born all dressed up as a princess and really never thinking beyond the yearly holloween costume or cute one of a kind design she would wear. So many wonderful comments and so many costume awards and really not allowing myself to think that it was more than a hobby. Now I find myself an owner of an art gallery and boutique, how life just throws me in what I was intended to do. I am excited, so many opportunities and so many suprises ahead.
