Princes Street Gardens after a late snowfall in March 2006 with the Castle guarding the City
Gray treefrog on cattail, looks rather humorous, almost like it is smirking.
Inspired by the book “The little Prince” No,I didn’t start painting but one of my friend realy influenced me for that macro picture of an icestick .The icestick was frosted on the rocs in the woods, the reason for those beautiful colors.I just add a bit of saturation to put up the beautiful blue because I think it’s his favorite color. / For my bubbler’s friend Nigel.. Kafka a man who loves «Le petit Prince» as much as I do…..... / «It is only with the heart that one can see rightly;what is essential is invisible to the eyes» / Antoine de Saint-Exupéry….. I see in that icestick a the little boy with a long white shirt ,the arms reaching to the sky with his head falling back, his legs are beginning to vanish….you know that moment when the snake bite him and went back to his planet …I clearly see the blue snake at his feet ….I know I know ...I have a lot of imagination but I realy see it …. :)))) .......Please take a look at Kafka’s work ,he a fantastic painter …x / / /
Behold his beastly majesty. / / A big new addition to my bestiary – watercolour, pen, chalk pastel, copper leaf on canvas. He is biggish…35×28cm. As well as on the crown there are little bits of copper throughout. / / / / Crappy shot but it shows the scale: / / / / Shiny shiny / Shiny beast with feathers!
The gateway to Melbourne from the south on a wet day.
I was struck by the proud, noble gaze of this young man and I was fortunate to capture it on film. The shot was not posed in any way, it is a spontaneous record of the moment. / London, early 1970s.
Full view please :) The amazing Stacey Yount has again surprised me with a beautiful poem to accompany this image. I Always Have You Near Me is the second collaboration for Stacey and myself. Stacey is an amazing poet and a lovely person as well. Here is I Always Have You Near Me: I always have you near me / Even if you are far away Your love is carried to me / On the whisper of butterfly wings / Even when you are far away A zephyr sings it through the trees / And brings me joy / Even as I wait for you to return from far away Every exquisite blossom I see / Reminds me of the magnificent shades of our love / Even though you may be far away You are in my mind / A part of my soul / and are my heart See, I always feel you near me / Even if you are far away ..::Stock Photo Credit::.. / Female model / Male model / Background (trying to locate stock) / Butterflies If you like this, please check out: / / /

This is a tribute to one of my favourites books: The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince) wrote by Antoine de Saint Exupéry in 1943. / Though ostensibly a children’s book, The Little Prince makes several profound and idealistic points about life and human nature. Saint Exupéry tells of meeting a young prince in the middle of the Sahara. The essence of the book is contained in the famous lines uttered by the fox to the Little Prince: “On ne voit bien qu’avec le cœur. L’essentiel est invisible pour les yeux.” (One cannot see well except with the heart, the essential is invisible to the eyes). Other key thematic messages are articulated by the fox, such as: “You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed” and “It is the time you have spent with your rose that makes your rose so important.” DETAIL: / Best Sellers T-Shirts / / / / / / / / / / /
It is a rare occasion when there is no wind blowing the palms, and there are enough clouds over the ocean to create a dramatic sunset at this location. I spent a week’s worth of evenings in this area before the conditions set up perfectly. Technically this is a series of 5 long exposures layered. I was using a 10mm lens on my little Canon XTi. It worked. This beach is in an area where there will soon be plenty of new construction, sadly. The “old” Maui is slipping away, and it breaks my heart. I hope images like this will preserve the pristine flavor for future generations.

This was taken at the Lion & Rhino Park in Johannesburg, South Africa. The same place Mischief was taken. While the brown lion cub was playfully naughty at 4 months old, this white lion cub could barely be bothered moving. He was 3 months old at the time. He and his 3 siblings were content sitting in the shade, watching the brown lion cubs kick up a dust storm around us. Amazing what 1 month can make to behavioural differences! All these cubs would have grown close to their full size by now and would be in the return to the wild program, teaching them how to hunt, kill and survive out there. The program is designed to help keep the white lion away from extinction, which sadly, it is dangerously close to at the moment. A panoramic view from West Princes Street Gardens taking in the enormity of Edinburgh Castle Edinburgh Castle dominates the city of Edinburgh like no other castle in Scotland, and Edinburgh Castle is unequalled in the whole of the British Isles. Over one thousand years of history sit on top of the famous Edinburgh rock. Edinburgh Castle is a collection of buildings many of which are Historic Scotland Category A or B Listed Buildings. As an example, Edinburgh Castle Great Hall is Category A listed (HB Number 48220). As always, full size is recommended for your viewing pleasure Another one of my little pool buddies … this time hanging out in the liriope leaves. I love the look on his face … so full of honor and dignity!!! VERY princely, yes?? As always, after a minute or two of snaps, he was placed gently on the ground under the leaves to join his brothers and sisters and happily hunt yummy bugs for breakfast. Image taken with the Nikon D300 and the 60mm Nikon Micro/macro lens at 1/10 shutter, f/11.0 aperture. A bit of tinkering in Photoshop on this one mainly dodging and burning, also cropped.
