I always think some city shots will look great in black and white. At the same time, I was trying my hands on HDR photography. This shot came about as my first attempt to HDR. The highly desaturated colour works well in giving it an almost Gotham City like mood – though it was purely an accident. You see, I had taken my shots in B&W, though for some reason Photomatix reads in colour information from my RAW files too.

I came to Hosier Lane for the 2nd time to take this HDR shot – funny how this photo escaped me the first time I was here.

This old rusty Ford truck greets visitors to the Fig Tree horse stable, in Samford Queensland.

This old wharf has now been demolished. It used to stand across the water from the Sydney Fish Market.

This fun shot was taken at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Melbourne. I am processing some HDR shots at the moment, but in the meantime there are a couple of creative shots which I like.

I was planning to make a HDR image from a series of images of this shots, but I decided that the image is good as is.

This photo, along with “Dearly Beloved”, was a fun concept suggested by a friend. The dim lighting in the Cathedral allowed for some long exposure shots.

I took this shot on one rainy morning in Sydney. I was fortunate enough to be able to take this before the fog lifted 5 minutes later.

This shot was inspired by my friend, Jax. I’ve always wondered how to best capture the Sydney Town Hall building…. Jax told me that someone commented how they like how she tilts the photos… and voila. This one is for you, Jax.
