Thank you all for your support of this image. It’s a bit scary to put these things out there, and I really appreciate all the comments it’s gotten. This is truly about me – where I’ve come from as a girl, and what I’ve gone through as a woman. I think it’s an image that many can relate to in some way, and as mentioned in some comments, it hits nerves. Rather than explain the photo, I’ll leave it up to the viewer. I think it may mean something different to each individual that looks at it. I don’t want to take that from you. To me, it has an important message. See what you can get from it, and I hope it will benefit you in some way.
Two leaves cast to the wind only to be rescued from the rushing water by a rock. A metaphor for life and way we can be cast to the winds of change and hustle and rush of everyday life. Yet one can find peace in our faith if we seek it. Refuge from the flood, the flow the busy lives we lead. Here’s to quite moments of reflection.( A Finalist for the Betterphoto’s November 05 image of the Month)

These three images were shot on transparency film and the transparencies were manipulated further using a Daylab printer and Polaroid pull apart film where the film is pulled apart before a positive can be processed. The dyes remaining on the Polaroid film were then transferred by rolling onto blotting paper. This is a very unique technique as you will never be able to reproduce the same image twice. There will always be a different amount of dye remaining on the film each time you do it making each image different from the last. They are presented here as a series. More works created using this technique can be found here
Sometimes I get these migraine headaches…they really are nasty, they look like this in my head, but not quite this beautiful…hey I know there’s a silver lining somewhere in there… ;-)

We don’t get a lot of rain here, but when we do, it often comes with rainbows attached. Doubles are fairly common. Even triples, sometimes …. but I don’t think I had ever seen a flat one before this. RedBubble Gallery: Great Atmosphere! Sony Cybershot DSC F828
