I made this one a while ago. The original image can’t be seen and I can’t remember what it even was. Using Ultimate Paint I tried to create a Mandala, and though I don’t remember the exact procedure came up with something that seemed to imply a gateway into Earth mysteries, forest lore. I love it when something like this comes out as a result. It seems to take me back to the first mythic days of our planet Earth. Featured in the First Things group (16/May/09).

A shot of someone’s backyard through a gap in the fence in a Newtown laneway merged in Ultimate FX using the Arithmetic function with a picture of cracked concrete and then re-merged with itself after using Advanced Liquid and Blur and repeated adjustments in contrast and brightness. I think this shows that with two fairly unpromising pictures, something wonderful can emerge.
