From the buzzing, humid city of Kathmandu to the pristine scenery of the Himalayan Mountains, these are photographs of my trek up to the source of the Dudh Koshi River and deep into the Sagarmatha National Park to climb to where the air has less than 50% oxygen with amazing views of the Khumbu glacial valley and the Himalayas in beautiful, clear Autumn weather.

The largest buddhist temple in the Southern Hemisphere is located in Berkeley, NSW Australia only a short distance from Wollongong and Sydney. Definitely worth a visit. n

This calendar depicts a series of Prayer Flag images, which formed the official exhibition at His Holiness The Dalai Lama’s Teachings in Nottingham, 2008. Traditionally, prayer flags are used to promote peace, compassion, strength, and wisdom. Tibetan Buddhists believe the prayers and mantras on the flags will be blown by the wind to spread good will and compassion into all pervading space. Therefore, prayer flags are thought to bring benefit to all. 10% of the proceeds from this calendar will be donated to the Tibet House Charity, which administers sponsorship schemes for Tibetan refugee school children in India and also sponsors elderly or destitute monks/nuns studying and practicing Buddhist philosophy.
