So as the story goes, I heard along the grape vine about this site and boy am I impressed. As soon as I got my profile set up I threw some random shots of mine up but I really need to sit down and go through my stuff- the quality of artwork on this site is amazing. I won’t quote you a dictionary definition because that would imply direction, take this anywhere your neurons wish. My first few days on redbubble have been in complete shock. Let me explain why…I have been on deviantart.com, a similar art hosting site, for quite some time. Being a member to that site for so long that i watched it decline with the allowance of under aged and unfinished work. Currently, there is more fan art and half ass anime on this site that, in my belief, anywhere in the world! When i came here, i noticed a distinct trend. that of quality. I have not seen a single person on here who posts half done or half ass work! its excellent. im falling in love with this site. the only thing i do wish for is the ability to distinguish between digitally manipulated work and traditional without reading the artists comments. otherwise this site kicks ass!

I am doing a presentation for postgraduate management students on the topic of worklife balance. I wanted to use the above photograph in the context of childhood and the slow development into adult responsibilities that factor into why resilience and establishment of values are important. When I asked the photographer if I could use it in my presentation he generously allowed me to do so. I love the red bubble website because it is so positive, especially the feedback, and it allows voyeurs like me who enjoy photography so much visual pleasure. The Little Princess picture conveys so much life and emotion. My instant response was one of peace and happiness. I appreciated what Antonine was able to convey in just one shot . I will keep looking for his pictures as they appear on red bubble. I will also acknowledge in my presentation the source of Antoine’s picture and those of other photographers who also gave me permission to use their photo. Hopefully, this will lead to more interest, sharing of photographs and some sales for those who contribute.

So, my first two weeks on RB are over and I’m impressed. Thanks to all the kind people out their in RedBubbleLand who left so many generous comments and favourites on my pictures. An especially big thanks to the anonymous buyers of six (yes, that’s 6!) cards of my work. I am the proud seller of: - 2 cards of number 9 / - 2 cards of friends at the end of the day / - 1 card of after the race / - 1 card of the great gateway Thank you! / AND today was a real red letter RedBubble day, because the cards I had ordered myself arrived – what stunning quality. I log onto RB to find I have not one, not two, but 10 new bubblemails telling me of how much people love and appreciate my work for the Lord…...... PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Satan, You may try to defeat me….......... but I am a child of the ALMIGHTY GOD ! I know this happens to everybody, right ? you start to be so in love with everyones photos, my own seem drab, uninteresting, no charm, no vivacity, no surprises.. / but!.. of course, I have seen mine so many times :) lol. aaaaaaaaah.. Im just mulling away.. I went to an outdoor church the other day , and think I might return. it is catered to the homeless, and thats where my heart is, .. Ive been almost there.. this church is located by the downtown bridge and the river, and has a barbecue grill going on, and a cooler filled with water.. / the music just is happening gently , and the preaching is tender and to the point. There are worship flags and tambourines that anybody could use .. the children use these allot , and dance right there with the flags.. I was wondering if any body would like to see some photos of what is happening. I might make a calendar of this wonderful happening.. I would love to know your opinion. ??? I used to be able to write alot, and now my memory is fading away. Life can be scary when this happens. here I am with blue eyes:) Something I dont have. but thought it appropriate.for this journal entry. .

I just would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy new year. I would love for you all to take just a moment and say a prayer for all the little children around the world that are unwell and spare some thought for their families at this time as they find strength to live and love. I myself have been humbled, in the past few months in my life, with visions i’ve experienced of individual little souls struggling to overcome illness … I myself have found strength through prayer. Christmas, now has an enriched meaning for my family and I, more than ever before … it is important my friends, to take time from our often busy and sometimes selfish lives to consider others and thank especially our lord at this special time for our own lives and all that we have around us in terms of what really matters … the love of our family and friends and the health that really is our wealth … and remember my dear friends … no matter who you are or what your ‘religion’ might be … your God is also my God … the only difference is in how and where we pray to our God … I believe this … and we all have an equal right to believe in what we think is true … but my God is and will forever be your God too :-) ... so love him and thank him for all that makes you the person that you are. For some time now, I have been really down in spirit and had all but totally lost the will to take photos, to create art, or to do much of anything….......... Weak in body and in spirit to say the least…......... Somehow, I managed to become unfocused on the true prize ! PRAISE GOD I HAVE FOUND MY WAY BACK HOME ! Thank you Jesus !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! / Due to praying myself, numerous prayer warriors standing beside me, I am alive again ! THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We serve such an awesome and amazing God ! Its just sooooooooooo wonderful ! The spirit of the Lord has been pouring down upon me like rain for the past few days now, and truly I am on a spiritual high like I have not known in some while now….... THANK YOU LORD ! / I was even at the point that I was going to erase every single work of mine on RB, over 1100 in total, lol, and I was finished….... I mean I was finished ! LOL But you see, God had or rather hasssss something else in store. I know this now ! I shouldve known all along, but being only human I do at times let the flesh get the best of me…......... / Since Brother Trevor and Bro. Michael have asked to me to come onboard The Philadelphia Mission Journey, I find that the outpouring of love is just amazing and I ask Lord, LET IT CONTINUE TO RAIN DOWN UPON US ! Praise you Lord ! / The more that each of you continue to follow and listen to the spirit of the Lord, the more we are all blessed and just think what a true blessing this will be to all that will be receiving your love offering ! Yesterday the latest issue of my Artists Magazine plopped through my mail slot and as usual I sat down to devour it whole...to my surprise the first words that jumped out at me from the business section was the word RedBubble…I immediately abandoned the other articles... I rapidly scanned the section, just to make sure there was nothing critical that would result in a immediate letter to the editor, and having assertained that it was all praise, relaxed and read it again.. They focused on three artists.. Ross Ford, Tim Aldridge and Derek Stewart (I could not find the last two profiles, though they showed pictures of the actual pages)....with quotes from the artists, RB was praised for it’s high quality Tshirts, diversity of wall art, browse by categories, and of course the wonderful community of “artists who give you encouragement and feedback“ With a final section on the ease of use, quality of printing, and pricing, the article mentions that unlike others, artists can sign up at RedBubble for free…the article also included sections on Imagekind and Etsy, but I left those for later…much later
