The sunsets on a field of abundant possibilities, a field in the winter that lies dormant but as spring nears will soon become a Field of Gold. More about this photo on My Blog © Lee Trujillo – ReflectionandLight.com / Reflection and Light.com
This is what I believe to be a Cow Hands’ Bunk House…a place where the hired help on a farm slept. Small, uncomfortable and lacking any luxuries; one window.
If I had to place an emotion on this small building I would say “loneliness” as if this place was forgotten forever. More about this on My Blog
This old broken down shack reminds me of the house bashed about in the Wizard of Oz. I almost expect to see the ugly old Witch riding past on her bike. More about this on My Blog

Here’s a skinny prairie dog! Why can’t we find a happy median?!
My son suggested the title of this one and I have to agree with that, after all life is one long road ahead! Taken outside of Imperial Texas.
I loved the way this just trailed off into the distance and the sky worked good too. This shot was taken outside of Imperial Texas. Taken with my Fuji S 2000 HD, hand held, shutter speed 1/512 sec, ISO-160, bracketed. One exposure at 1/500 sec with some color adjustment and sharpening in photoshop.
Low in the early morning grass.
Little church on the prairie at the Indian Reservation of the Stoney Tribe in Alberta, Canada. Small church – huge effect for the Natives, when their world changed with the preachers in 1883.
Final shots of the day, just as the sun was starting to go down I took this shot of the Bride and Groom with their bridal party on the top of a combine. Taken near Cadillac, Saskatchewan.
This is a small watercolor painting inspired by the prairie near my parents farm in Southern Iowa.
I found this barn isolated middle of the lake district wanted to keep quiet simple in colour but then turned it to a black and white and add a texture and a bit of noise I prefer it definitely like this …
Pumpjack on the Alberta Prairie against a blue sky.
This photo is from Drumheller Alberta. I was driving along and noticed this amazing blue hue against the hay field as the storm approached. I liked the colours mostly. A few minutes after this was taken, it poured rain. This was shot on film and scanned, so the film grain is visible.
