! My image Old Elevator…”A Disappearing ICON” was featured in the group Rural Canada Coast to Coast to Coast Pre- 1960”s on January 25, 2009. I give special thanks to the hosts Kevin Kroeker and John (PFrogg) This image makes me mindful of the days of yester year, when we used to travel out into the country into our vast prairies. If I ever got lost, I would scan the horizon and look for these ICONS to give me a sense of direction….Now a days we only need to pay attention to our dash mounted GPS to give us directions…Oh how times have changed Folks…It also gives me a sense of THANKFULNESS and I pay TRIBUTE to those remaining farmers here on the Prairies of Canada, and the USA. After all this is the breadbasket of the world, but more and more young people are leaving the farm, as times are tough, and it is hard for them to scratch out a decent living…Hopefully things will change in the near future. Folks, there can be no end to our accomplishments, in this world, we just need to work COLLECTIVELY.....Thank You.
