One could even say he prized her esteemed company beyond all other crickets in that drizzly town. John Lennon Wall, Prague / After John Lennon’s assassination in 1980 mourners in (then) Czechoslovakia painted images of Lennon and words of love and condolence on a large inner-city wall in Prague. The communist authorities had the wall painted over. Undaunted, the fans put up new poems and art, and thus a tradition began. No longer painted over by authorities, the John Lennon wall is a massive artwork in progress, continually being painted over and over and densely layered with words of love and peace from individuals all over the world. Power to the people, right on! /
