I don’t usually do IR shots with people or animals, but this horse was kind enough to stay still for me for 2 seconds. ......................................................................................................... Bored in a stable with nothing to do. / We make a game of throwing our shoes. / Lead me to water, but not to the track. / Show me a saddle and I’ll say, “Hey get off my back.” / All in favor (all in favor) say “Nay!” / We like the flavor of (we like the flavor of) hay. / We’re gonna graze all of our days. / Until they take us away and turn us into glue. / Like Mr. Ed always said… May the horse be with you. May the horse be with you. / May the Horse be with you everyday. / I trot by the fillies (they like me of course). / They all dig my band (yea I’m a rocking horse). / You gotta take off your spurs to ride me you know. / If you want me to stop then yell out “Whoa”. / All in favor (all in favor) say “Nay!” / We like the flavor of (we like the flavor of) ha / .............................. Explore – Highest – Nov 20, 2008 #16 Another storm photo from Brisbane from last night (Nov 20th). The water laps up to the road almost at the moment. So to avoid getting fried, I decided to set the shutter on remote and get the right exposure. Then fire it and run out of the water to the car. This was taken shortly before a few drops of rain came. I knew then I had a few mins to get in the car quickly. Then came the heavy rain, just making it home before the hail! BEST viewed large on BLACK

I have seven different photos all on their own layers withs masks for blending. I doubled many of the layers and used the film grain filter and vivid light and hue saturation, Alos created much of the storm effects with the brush tool.

I liked to sit in the magnolia tree on the front lawn, surrounding myself with the contradiction of beauty and desolation.

Taken from my front lawn (well till Wednesday when we move) in Cannon Hill, Brisbane, Australia – this was the third massive storm in 3 days that has broken rainfall records in Brisbane for the most rainfall in November since 1981. The media claims it is the worst flooding since the infamous 1974 Brisbane flood – en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1974_Brisbane_flood Once the storm passed I headed out from my safe haven on the front deck to find this amazing cloud spewing out lightning. I was out shooting a spot in the area when I saw the storm coming in the distance, so I waited and got a few shots and then rain came. I managed to get past McDs on Wynnum Road into the industrial area to put the full beam on to see where I was headed. Just as I passed Cannon Hill station the hail started and I got in the garage just as it hammered down. I must thank the neighbours for the light trails.

I was driving past my local beaches one morning checking the surf, when I went past this one section of powerline that was smothered in pidgeons. / I had to pull over and get a shot as this is not something you see every day.
Actually just idling the time away with this one. Trying some new techniques (failing and succeding, failing and succeding). Before you know it, you’ve lost 2 hours! :)
