As it is titled…homeless man in Sydney.
This guy sits in the ‘office’ of the market in Rhuengeri, northern Rwanda. / As with many jobs in this part of the world, I’m not sure whether he actually receives a salary. There didn’t seem a lot to do, which left him to sit there and observe people wandering back and forth.
See here for description.
“We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty.” / -Mother Teresa

Selvakumar – that the name of this little boy who followed me from dawn to mid morning. He’s a poor fisherman’s kid – but I’ve never seen many happier smiles than his. / He’s posing with his favourite toy – a tyre he rolls with the help of a stick.

This photo was taken in a street just behind Ipanema Beach, Rio. I do not spend my holiday time looking for these type of shots, but i am a social planner so my gaze is always seeing social issues in community settings. I was struck by the setting – this man is on the street, his possessions are few, he has probably come in from the country looking for work. Brazil is largely a catholic country, so such iconic pictures give comfort. I am aware that there are deep christian views held by some members of redbubble – my apologies in advance if this photo offends. no post production “straight from the camera”..

A Skaw Karen girl feeds her family’s pig. Pigs are kept to propitiate the spirits when someone is ill, to feast on during New Year, and, rarely, to be slaughtered purely for their meat. Karen pigs are often fed a boiled mash of wild banana stems and rice bran.
