The Snowy Owl – The Snowy Owl is a large, diurnal white Owl that has a rounded head, yellow eyes and black bill. The feet are heavily feathered. A distinctive white Owl, their overall plumage is variably barred or speckled with thin, black, horizontal bars or spots. Females and juveniles are more heavily marked than males – adult males may be almost pure white, although they have up to three tail bands. Adult females are distinctly barred throughout, and have from four to six tail bands. Immatures are very heavily barred throughout, and dark spotting may codominate or dominate the overall plumage. Snowy Owl calls are varied, but the alarm call is a barking, almost quacking krek-krek-krek-krek; the female also has a softer mewling pyee-pyee-pyee-pyee or “prek-prek-prek”... So unlike the one they use in the Harry Potter films, this Hedwig is actually female. They use male birds to portray her in the film because a bird with an all white plumage looks more impressive they think! bit of unless knowledge for you eh?
For fans of swords and sorcery! This highly detailed work is one of my personal favorites! This wizard is ready to battle with wand or sword, but he much prefers to work with his potions of power. These shirts are well made and the unique printing process creates a Bright, Colorful and Large image that is almost as good as silk screening and much, much better than what you get from cafepress. Are you a Harry Potter fan? This would make a nice gift for those that are. Also good for herbalists, doctors, or anyone else that works with many bottles. / Suburban Scenes by Mike Savad Squidoo Lenses

You might say this is all a head arrangement. The idea for this painting popped in my head this week so I decided to paint it before I lost interest in the idea. I used one of these out houses when I was a very young boy. When it would snow you would actually have to sweep the snow off the seat, speaking of freezing your butt off. But , we eventually modernized and put in a city slicker style bathroom in the house.

ORIGINAL SOLD AT RECENT EXHIBITION What beautiful pottery to be seen on our recent trip to Arizona. There were numerous textures and colors to be seen. These seemed especially striking to me and I could not wait to get home and paint them.

I am designing 12 images based around the months of the year and the old Celtic luna months. They will reflect the changing of the seasons and the ever turning wheel of the year, the magic and mystery attatched to each part of the cycle and any special festivals falling in those months. I hope you enjoy them as much as I am enjoying creating them :) Blessings Angie* These make magical cards for Birthday months :-)

As a child, my treasured stuffed animal (as all children tend to have) was a little squirrel who went on every kind of adventure with me, and my favorite story was about a lil’ squirrel named “Miss Suzy” – written by Miriam Young, and illustrated by Arnold Lobel. I love the thought of the tiny leaf-boat capturing the attention of the denizens of the pond as it passes by en route to a wonderous place. January 10th, 2009 – WOW!! Thank you so much for the front page feature!!! I’m so delighted! If you like Columbus – you might enjoy some of my other little animal works!! / / /
I am sure I don’t need to tell you who Beatrix Potter was, her love of the Lake District and nature is World famous. Though she is known to have lived at Hilltop Farm near Ambleside for much of her life, she owned many properties and farms in the area and on her death she left them to the National Trust so that the natural beauty of the area could be enjoyed for all time. There was over 4000 acres in her estate. This was one of her houses on Belle Isle on Windermere, in the large grounds she planted every species of tree that was native to the United Kingdom, it looks so beautiful from my viewpoint on a lake leisure steamer.
