LIMITED EDITION FRAMED PRINTS / On sale 6th October 2008 – 10 prints only I created this artwork for the Extra Cheeese group show in Sydney this weekend. The theme was re-use…I found an old wooden wine box at Salvos and made it into a lightbox. This was printed onto acrylic, which slides between two J-frames (allowing access to change the lightbulb). The show wraps up on Sunday 5th Oct – so go check it out if you are in the area. This was snapped up before the show opened – so you can only get a copy here! Flyer / Extra Cheeese Photos from the opening will be posted on 2threads soon and I’ll post a link of the artwork lit up in the gallery. To create this I reference photos – reducing the contrast down and then outlining by hand. Everything then gets coloured in Photoshop. You might notice some of my old artwork in there as tattoos. And yes, that is Kat von D – I love her style!

Many thanks to Ken Boxsell who, once again, graciously allowed me to play with his gorgeous Frog. I used a Photoshop Artistic Filter, Posterise Edges, to give a little more definition, and this is the result. I hope you like it. Thank you for looking – I would appreciate any constructive criticisms you might like to give me. Best seen at the large size.

Having had my Pentax Optio S4i camera for at least 3 years i’ve stumbled across some features I did not know I had, would have helped if I read the manual!!!..... so will be having more fun with my camera and hopefully a few more pics to add to my portfolio…

This was taken Aug 22/08 with the Sony Cybershot on auto mode and zoomed upwards then posterised in Photoshop – Boradview Hotel at the corner of Broadview and Queen Toronto which is a very old landmark / Exposure 1/200 / ISO 80 / Aperture f/2.8 / Focal 6.3 mm

Taken today at Swell Sculpture Festival 2009 Currumbin QLD. Have slightly dasaturated, posterised x 4 and added a watercolour effect. I deselected the sky so that it would not get grainy. Oh! I also cloned out a tree on the LHS.
