This photo was taken just south of Fraser Island in Queensland. With a 30 second exposure at f10 this gave the picture a fairly surreal feel about it.
one of my personal favorite, maybe it’s because No.4 was the first piece on which I deliberately put the feel of “texture.” It carries a strong sense of movement that magnifies through the shade, color and geometric effect. Unlike other designs, I applied a horizontal view for this postcard design, and added a white space on the right, just for balance’s sake (the original aspect ratio of No.4 is 1.0). Anyway, enjoy. : ]
Landscape of the Lord St. Malo outside of Estes Park, Colorado. One of thee most photographed Churches in all of North America, I was VERY excited and VERY anxious to get this shot when I headed up to Rocky Mountain National Park. I was hoping that the weather would clear because behind this, covered in the clouds, is Mt. Meeker and it is just a stunning view with the mountains! I have to admit though, I am really happy how this came out. And if anything, it is quite unique compared to how it is usually shot. I suppose that is a good thing when it comes to photographing something that is such an icon. Generally, people walk down by the pond and shoot from there, I stayed up top on the side of the road, thus giving a different perspective than most. Also, the weather. It was dramatic as all heck! You could smell the rain as it came in, dark, but with so much drama in the sky. I was pretty lucky to get a shot like this. Ya, I am happy with it! Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado…..and how I love shooting up there when the winter weather begins to roll on in…the wind is bad, the air—-freezing cold, but the images that one can capture are filled with atmosphere and drama, case in point, this shot here. I about froze my butt off getting this shot of Mummy Mountain, but I wanted something that really showed all the detail here….that represented what it’s all about being a nature photographer in Colorado…... / Thoughts welcomed! / HDR blending used to bring out more dramatic light and detail / John

As Is Canon EOS 350D Canon Lens 34mm 1/60 sec F/4,5 ISO-400 / Sushi is a six week old Maine Coon Kitten of the Cattery Kata-Nebari, The Netherlands, Europe / The Maine Coon is a breed of domestic cat well known for its distinctive physical appearance. It is one of the oldest natural breeds in North America, specifically native to the state of Maine, where it is the official State Cat. Although the Maine Coon’s exact origins and date of introduction to the United States are unknown, many theories have been proposed. The breed was popular in cat shows in the late 1800s, but its existence became threatened when long-haired breeds from overseas were introduced in the early 20th century. The Maine Coon has since made a comeback and is now the second most popular cat breed in the world, according to the Cat Fanciers’ Association (CFA). The Maine Coon is generally noted for its large bone structure, its rectangular body shape, and a long, flowing coat. The breed can be seen in a variety of colors and are known for their intelligence and gentle personalities. Health problems, such as feline hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and hip dysplasia, are seen in the breed, but testing is available to detect the genes responsible for causing these abnormalities. / Source Wikipedia / / / Portrait of Sushi / / / Portrait of Sushi / / / Portrait of Sushi / / / Portrait of Sushi / / / Portrait of Sushi / / / Portrait of Sushi / / / Portrait of Sushi / / / Portrait of Sushi / / / Portrait of Sushi / / / Portrait of Sushi / / / Portrait of Sushi / / / Featured in Cats and Dogs, Alphabet Soup, Domestic and Pedigree Cats

Artist’s Note: This image represents beautiful memories of the seaside. I have so many, and treasure them deeply. I took this photo on the beach in Morro Bay, CA. These egrets didn’t mind my presence at all and seemed to enjoy being my models :-) stock: texture
My Website It’s been a very long time since I received a real postcard and last night when I checked my mail at my PO Box, it was a total ‘wish I was there’ moment. As I stood under the street lamp reading real words from someone in RB who I hold very close to my heart, I felt so deliciously warm and happy inside. We live in such a cyber world and sometimes it’s just pure bliss to get back to reality with good old fashioned communication. On the other hand, if it wasn’t for RB I would never have met this gorgeous friend. / Thank you Billy straight from my heart / XOXOX / This is just my take on the whole thing, part postcard, part me :)
