Mother nature presented me on a last October evening with one of those sunsets that you can hope to see just once a year if you’re lucky. / High layers of scattered clouds, a pure, clean atmosphere and the fact that at the end of october the twilight lasts almost a hour, all this elements contributed in producing a stunning natural show. This is the Po River near to Carignano in Piedmont, Italy. I hope you enjoy it, thanks for dropping by. Paolo

Wat Po ~ Bangkok – Thailand. Thailands largest reclining bhudda. His feet some 45 feet away are inlaid with mother of pearl. Thanks for looking Featured in the Exotic Thailand Group
Tian Tan Buddha at Po Lin Monastery on Lantau Island off the Hong Kong Airport, is an imposing sight. This 85 feet bronze statue is the world’s tallest outdoor seated bronze Buddha. In its presence, one is dwarfed not just in stature, but in true understanding and perception of life and universe. This is P/O Cyril Barton, VC. Halifax Bomber of 578 sqdn RAF. / He won the VC because he continued his flight to bomb Germany after some of his crew baled out after misunderstanding an order as they’d had been hit and lost an engine. He got to Germany, completed his bombing run and returned to England only to be shot at flying along the English coast and crashed landed just south of Sunderland at Ryhope,, avoiding houses. He didn’t survive but 3 of his crew did. The rest of his crew survived the war as POWs in Germany. His a/c name was “E” for Excalibur. / I think there is housing complex called Halifax Place in Ryhope and The Barton Room for young people in Ryhope Golf Club, which is built where the Halifax crashed. / / 4th Feb 09 / I’ve just read in tonight evening paper that the last remaining crew member, who lived locally and I’ve met, die from cancer last month about the time I decided to post this painting. I wonder what made me do that???? / This was painted to illustrate a book on P/O Barton but land up a raffle prize for the local (Sunderland) Bomber Command Association. / Acrylic on Daler Board. 20×24inches. 1994

As long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by the consept of the Samurai warrior. / Manga has also had some influence on this picture, even though I was hardly ever exposed to it through my childhood. / But the last ten years, as I have been working only with graphics, and with perfecting my drawing skills. / And it is through this work that I have been exposed to Manga a lot, and I think it has influenced me quit a bit, and it shines through especially in my character design. / If you like this picture, you might enjoy this one as well Ore maybe this one… Enjoy and have a good time :-)
Lately I have been trying out another inking technique and I have tried to simplify my designs down to the absolute necessary. / This is my third attempt at this way of going about it, and I must say myself that I am a lot more satisfied with this design than earlier character designs I did before I started to simplify things. / It is obvious that the old mantra about minimizing everything down to a minimum is something to pay close attention to. / Simplicity is the word ladies and gangsters… POS
This is one of those things that words cannot begin to describe. This particular Buddha statue is located at Wat Pho in Bangkok, Thailand. This imposing Buddha is 50 feet high and 150 feet long and made from brick and plaster and gilded in gold. The reclining pose represents the Buddha’s passage into nirvana. His feet are of mother of pearl inlays with 108 vignettes representing the 108 auspicious signs for recognizing buddha.

It was after dark in Melbourne, and the lights were being switched off at home. I was walking through the kitchen when I noticed that someone had left a miniature figure of Po, the Kung Fu Panda, on the island bench. There was only one light on, about ten metres away – so the shadow was not the sharpest but it was still sufficiently interesting for me to get my camera out. Po by himself was not a great shot, but when I moved back slightly and included the sharper image of the handle of a coffee mug, things got far more interesting! Shot without a tripod. I do not crop, enhance or edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F5.6, 0.5 sec, ISO 800, focal length 125mm. This is the motive I have made for a band I am doing the CD cover and all the rest of what ever they need for marketing (blog, posters, tickets and so on) for. / The bands name is Tassili (the on who walks) and they do the most exciting music I’ve heard since I was made aware of our very own muskularteeth / The sort of music they play has been called “Sahara Blues” (cool he?) in the media the last year ore so (here in Norway anyway). For those of you having problems with such things, THEY ARE NOT MUSLIMS. but atheists (I think) from Morocco and Norway. / You see if they were in any way religious (ore as I see it not intelligent, open minded, including and learning/spiritually eveolving humans) I wouldn’t work for them….simple as that. / Christians and muslims, budists and sun worshipers is to me all the same. It has no place in a modern society built upon science, logic and reason. / I guess in that way I am a bigot. / I also never did any gigs ore briefs for ANY political unit what so ever. Never as a musician ore as a graphics artist and Illustrator. / I am also contemplating giving up contributing to the marketing efforts of various companies, cos I believe it is bad and very wrong what most of them do, and that goes for me to as long as I let them use my skills to peddle shit we didn’t know we needed til they convinced us it is so. This in turn keep us in debt and stuck in some shit job working for the man and our morgage. / Art is art, and must not prostitute itself. Neither for religion nor politics. / Cos then we are lost. Without a provoking art scene, humanity is lost….believe me if you must believe something. I believe in art, freedome and the right to provoke at any time and place….also religions witch I DON’T consider holy…(goes for all of them). POS / /
