I’d been meaning to get back to this spot to do some more panorama’s after taking some pans from here some time ago…as per below…. / / Taken from the top of London Bridge, a great archy rock feature along the Mornington Peninsula ~ Vic. ~ Aus.. / This pano is a 5 image stitch, landscape orientated x 3 shot HDR..15 images in total – but nothing compared to the 50 shot baby I’m working on at the moment..!!.. / Great stormy light had me fill up an 8G card in no time… / Thanks for looking, comments always welcome…cheers, Rob..
Yes I know…London Bridge, yet again..!! I do gravitate to this spot often – but I never tire from photographing it. So many changing moods..As you can see, the lettuce green seaweed is growing verdantly along the rock shelf exposed by the super low late afternoon tide… / London Bridge – Portsea – Mornington Peninsula – Aus… / Just a tad different mood than from my previous upload..!! / thanks for having a look..
I mentioned a couple shots ago, I was working on a monster pan..Well this one took a fair bit of work to pump out, but I’m extremely happy with the result and the hours upon hours of work tends to be worth it in the end… / 51 shots make up this image, 17 shot pan – portrait oriented x 3 shot hdr, over a Gigabyte in it’s full raw mode, PC herniating at every step – untill I got the size down to a reasonable level after most of the raw adjustments were made.. / Taken on the Mornington Peninsula N.P, Portsea Ocean Coast – actually takes in both up and down the coast and of course, that fantastic stormy light… / Thanks for having a look….cheers, Rob..
I like the various textures and mix of colors in this shot highlighted by the late afternoon glow. Part of my recent London Bridge collection…Thanks for having a look..
As per some of my previous uploads…Another panorama from this area.. / This one is a 14 shot pan – portrait orientated – non hdr…around 320 deg. fov.. / Taken a short time after the pano below as the sunlight started to fade and the cool dusk tones started to form…thanks for having a look, and any comments most welcome, as always…
Sister shot to this one below… / Well, in the opposite direction actually..About the last of this series which include my recent pano’s from this area….thanks for any feedback…cheers, Rob…

I absolutely love this little spot, and I’m sure this will be the first of many visits to this area. / Settings Canon 40D, 17-85mm IS. Taken on the same morning as Portsea Dawn about half an hour lately as the sun popped over the horizon. / Settings Canon 40D, 17-85mm IS. Another shot from out the back at Portsea, couldn’t resist uploading this shot. I just love the atmosphere.. makes me feel like I’m still standing up on that rock with no-one around, just me and the crashing ocean. / Settings Canon 40D, 17-85mm IS. Whilst standing up here this evening I had to ask myself.. is this the safe thing to do? But then I thought, if we never took risks then that would be a boring way to live. This one was taken from the same spot as a couple of my other Portsea images but at a different time and day. My original intention was to get a good sunset around the eastern side of the London Bridge but the tide was a lot higher than I expected so I climbed back up to this spot instead and it was definitely worth it :) I had to put the ISO up a fair bit to keep the exposure time down as it was almost dark. Luckily I can get away with it with this camera, the picture would be a lot grainier had I used my 40D. The London Bridge is located on the ocean side of Portsea in the Mornington Peninsula National Park, Victoria, Australia. It’s only a short walk down to this spot from the car park. / Settings Canon 5D, 17-40mm f4 L USM.
