This is a re-post. I have removed this image some time ago but I somehow miss it in my Portfolio so it is back. My apology to all the people that already commented on this image previously and to those that made it their favourite. Just want you to know that all your comments have always been much appreciated! I would like to dedicate this image to all the everyday women who make this world a different , beautiful, inspirational and stronger place.

I was struck by the proud, noble gaze of this young man and I was fortunate to capture it on film.The shot was not posed in any way, it is a spontaneous record of the moment.

I finally got to paint this from my digital manipulation, Don’t Give Up Searching . I’m so pleased with the result. I used a few different textures and oil paint and made the eye brown rather then blue so that the image was unified in pallet to suit a college project so that I could paint this particular piece without abandoning duty.

This shot was taken in Copacabana in 2006, a little town in the north of Bolivia, situated on the bank of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world at 3800 mts. / There was a big celebration in town that day and so much to see and discover. But I was so tired that I decided to sit down and rest for a while when those two men sat just in front of me. I took so many pictures of them but this one is my favorite.
