Smoke me a kipper and I’ll be back for breakfast.
Portrait of a guy (Indian or Black American) underlying a bolted frame plate covered in a block print along with surrounding abstract shapes and textures, some flat, some in 3D. A white airbrushed cloud was added to this composition to bring more depth between the shapes also creating a frosty cold air feeling for this black and white image. 1-6-07
Digital painting based on digital illustration based on the digital manipulation of a digital photo I shot in a studio a few years ago. Dig it, Doug? The proceeds of all sales go to World Vision, an organisation dedicated to looking after children in Third World countries. .... EXCEPT, while it still runs through Phoenix Appeal, these proceeds will go to the RED CROSS VICTORIAN BUSHFIRE APPEAL. Check out my web site www.twistedirony.com.

Smoking. Femme fatale, film noir style. / Low-key portraits are my all time favourite thing. This image forms part of my project about smoking. I have asked everyone I have photographed for permission first. I felt it was important to be honest, up front and to respect people. I think it is still possible to get a pure image even though I have made myself known to the subject. / This was taken at Newcastle Quayside.
Lovely penny showing her lovely contour. / I would recommend the Tony Ryan “Empowered Beauty Workshop” Great place for nice models and learning experience. / Don’t hesitate join the group.

I made this image tonight in two stages. First I photographed Liam with my trusty 50mm with two lights behind and either side of him. This was the easy part. I then thought I would try and photograph some smoke. After much hunting around for incense sticks, finally found some and spent over an hour setting up with a flash and taking lots of photos to choose from. I then used photoshop and composited two of these smokey ones with Liam and voila. Specs / Canon 5d mark ii / 50mm lens / Aperture 3.5 / shutter 1/180 / ISO 400 / Tripod

A portrait of my 8 years old grand daughter Angelica, near a camp fire. She had to cover her face because the smoke was burning her eyes,I have to say that she was pretty courageous to keep on with the photo shooting….just an experiment for fun.. / The making of this pic was pretty simple …I’ve used the filter-other-offset to separate and make a twin effect / Used to clone stamp to blend the two pics / Used the sponge tool to saturate and desaturate different parts of the image / / untouched version / /
