Everything on the walls behind the kid is work that I did either in grade school or high school. Yes, I still have EVERYTHING that I did back then. It’s taking over every nook and cranny in my house, much to the chagrin of my loving wife. What can I say, I’m sort of a pack rat. Do I really need the cartoons I scribbled on my math homework when I was eight? No. Am I going to keep it anyway? You better believe it.

Oil pastels on black A3 paper. / used a reference photo a wonderful friend took of me. thank you so much for that. / Classical style isn’t it. I’m enjoying oil pastels at the moment. I’m looking into blending techniques mostly. And yay! foreshortening! A lil. A girl full of hate falls in love too easily for her own good. kicking and screaming into paradise just to burn it down in an attempt to keep warm by a fire. she can hold back the tears but she can’t stop causing them. Oh how it hurts, more than ripping slowly at her own flesh, unstoppable by the numbing vodka that burns it’s way down her throat, keep swallowing, don’t breathe, maybe you’ll choke on it you stupid girl.

Second part of the piece mentioned on my last piece. There were 3 of these in total but I’ll leave out the third… and yes, the competition is over, and no this project didn’t get anywhere, but loved making it none the less. I may… post the whole thing… someday… maybe… or not continues to mumble incessantly

Johannes Erwin Eugen Rommel (15 November 1891 – 14 October 1944) was one of the most famous German field marshals of World War II. He was the commander of the Deutsches Afrika Korps and also became known by the nickname “The Desert Fox” for the skillful military campaigns he waged on behalf of the German Army in North Africa. / / Rommel’s military successes earned the respect not only of his troops and Adolf Hitler, but also that of his enemy Commonwealth troops in the North African Campaign. An enduring legacy of Rommel’s character is that he is also considered to be a chivalrous and humane military officer in contrast with many other figures of Nazi Germany. more / / Black and white conte pencil on brown paper. Graphite drawing inspired by Picasso’s African mask’s. This became a simple cubist head experiment where I wanted to portray as many heads as possible by hiding their obvious were about’s. The intial perspective is two and a half head’s but closer inspection reveal’s ten. These hidden feature’s gave the drawing a wider perspective with exterior narrative.
