February 2007, Portobello Road, London
I love the detail in this door. Someone has taken the time to really ad their personal touch by painting the little figures on there. The red is so bright and it simply caught my eye.
I worked at a place called Portobello Gold in Notting Hill London for 2 years, and 1 night i had to stay over in the apartment. It had a roof top garden and this was the view. It was the middle of summer and hot, so i sat with my friends, drinking and watching the sun go down.

My breakfast…............beautiful homegrown Portobello mushrooms on toast. / / Gorgeous as well as delicious!
London market on a sunny day.
Shopping in Portobello Road Market London. I had this fantastic photo-opportunity to capture a rare sight indeed, a man with a dog on his shoulders shopping. It made me laugh, but I also took time to snap him, it’ll forever make me smile. / Captured with Nikon D700 and 24-120mm lense.
The Thinker: Typical Portobello Road Market Stall. Could also be titled: The Thinkers / I couldn’t resist this trader’s stall, it was choc full of brick-a-brack, they called it antiques:) I loved the image of the thinker, and what was he thinking about watching all the people streaming past him in Portobello Road? I also wanted to get this but it was out of my reach financially for the time being anyway:) Loved the dog too, all that was needed to complete this picture was a gramaphone record player with a big trumpet:)) Portobello Road is a photographer’s dream location offering many and varied photo-opportunities that a just waiting to be snapped. Captured with Nikon D700 and Nikor 24-120mm Lense.
Situated on the Beachfront along the Promenade….Lovely Turkish Baths inside where the roof is all painted with the sky and stars….....infact I think I.ll go along and have myself a relaxing lounge and soothing swim…....and take some photos of inside this original building….I.ve put in just a hint of subtle colouring here and there…..

The slow exposure (1/8th of a second) is what makes this picture sing, amplifying the frenetic activity of the busy stalls at Portobello Road Market in London. Buy this image to brighten up your kitchen or as a gift for a friend with strong culinary interests and to remind you that there is still a way of enjoying your hunter gatherer instincts!!!

Today was the launch of the new Portobello Sailing & Kayaking Club (http://www.sailporty.org.uk/) so we watched a few of the locals who were first out on the water. Taken in monochrome with Canon 450D & Canon 15-80mm IS Lens and then equalised in Photoshop Elements 4 to add a vintage feel. The shoreline at Portobello beach, just outside of Edinburgh, Scotland. Having grown up by the sea in the far North of Scotland I have always felt drawn to the coast. Taken in monochrome with Canon 450D & Tamron 70-300mm Lens. All profits from sales in 2009 will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support: www.macmillan.org.uk

Along the little street by the water in Edgartown on Martha’s Vineyard Island, there are a number of very appealing shops with curios, books, art, and lots of fun to browse. Portobello Road is one.
Overlooking the water, towards the Kingdom of Fife, this is from an autumn evening.
At low tide, the sand seems to want to pull the unwary out to sea…
