This day, this transient killer whale was hunting and teaching her calf how to hunt this poor harbour porpoise. A rare glimpse into the animal kingdom. You can see the whole series here; / http://www.flickr.com/photos/orcagirl/sets/72157594298424891/show/
So there I was minding my own business walking down a completely deserted beach 8000 miles from home, without a care in the world. Then I saw these shapes in the breakers, took me a moment or two and then I realised they were surfing! / So I sat down on that beach watching these dolphins playing without a care in the world, barely breathing and hoping that the pictures that I took would do them justice. hope you like Andrew / Nov 08

Taken at Monkey Mia in 2008 18-200 Nikor on D80. The dolphins here are famed for coming in really close to the shore early in the morning and I have to say, the feeling of having one of this incredible creatures so close is very intense. I went twice to see them. Once to take pictures of and once to just enjoy.
The Dolphins had finished fishing and then started to have fun. Pentax K10D
