A very old analouge negative taken on Boxing Day some twenty odd years ago. This girl was living with my younger sister in Darlinghurst in Sydney at the time and yes there were drugs involved. Neither of them survived the experience. All I have left is some very old photo’s and my memories. To death us do drug. Was that a challenge, a motto or a promise. I could never work it out.
This is a photo of my son Jack who was born on the 15th of June 2007. / It is Jack’s first breath after being delivered by cesarian. I was lucky enough to take this snap over the top of mum thanks to the lovely staff at the hospital.
shot using a long exposure with two flash shots….Contax G2. No photoshop magic
As i was driving home from our day out i seen the Castle in the distance and thought i just had to get a shot . / A BIT OF THE HISTORY: / During a long and bloody history Stirling Castle has been attacked or besieged at least 16 times. Three battles have been fought in its immediate vicinity, two of which were turning points in Scottish history: and a fourth equally important battle took place just a few miles to the north. A number of Scottish Kings and Queens have been baptised, or crowned, or died within or near Stirling Castle. And at least one King was murdered nearby: while another committed murder within its walls. Much of the History of Scotland has been played out at Stirling Castle or within sight of it… / A site as important as the castle rock at Stirling, guarding as it does the lowest crossing point of the River Forth, would have been of strategic interest to anyone wanting to control central Scotland. There is, however, no actual evidence that the Romans or the Votadini, or the Picts who fought over this ground in the first millennium A.D. fortified the rock: it simply seems highly likely that they would have done. And it is sadly only an attractive theory that the legend of Camelot is based on a castle here during King Arthur’s conquest of parts of Scotland in the 6th Century. / http://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/
For Poppykitten’s comp – CAT=EVERYTHING ELSE This was taken on holiday in Croyde Bay, North Devon a great UK surfing beach. The wind was blowing up the beach and had blown sand away from the stones leaving them like this, lit by the afternoon sun. / . / © photogenique (dave peddie): using this image for any purpose and in any way, without prior permission, may lead to legal action. / . / Do check out Pete Langman’s great portfolio /
From my first wedding shoot. Actually, the couple had already hired a professional photographer, and I just tagged along getting candids such as this one. Not sure if anyone is interested in buying someone else’s wedding pictures, but I’m putting this image up for sale anyways.
waitng for a train or a handsome stranger!
This has no use of photoshop what so ever, not even for cropping. The yellowish tone was caused by a crappy bathroom light and the settings of my camera.
Just gotta love these paua shells.http://images-2.redbubble.com/img/art/backingcolor:white/product:greeting-card/view:preview/355775-5-chrystal-ball.jpg! / !
An old picture, which I still feel is one of my best. It has alot of sentimental value and importance to me.
Shot with a Contax G2 no photoshop effects all done with one exposure.
Bees are mysteriously disappearing all over the U.S. This worries me. What will we eat? http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2007/02/070223-bees.html ~~ Photograph taken by reversing the lens and holding it up to the camera body. Focusing is achieved by moving closer or further away from the subject. Tricky business when the subject’s a bee!

Late evening in the Southern Mallee. On a country road a rain cloud is unloading what it has collected during the warm day. Lightning flashes can been seen every now and then following the cloud and hitting the ground.
A boat on the river in Chester, England from the bridge. I love the sparkles in the water which came out really well because I did nothing else to the photo
This collection of Urban Landscapes is drawn from a larger body of work called Darkscapes. They are moody evocative invitations into mystery and imagination taken from the ordinary things that make up the fabric of city life. Beauty is all around us if only we take the time to notice it. We all look but maybe we don’t all see. This collection of images is a way for me to share what I see with others. I was leaving my studio in St Peters late one night and as exited the car park I took a quick snap from the car window. The somewhat eerie feel to this photograph is just how it feels to be in in that area late at night. Spooky! . /
Used a high ISO, just experimenting, gives the portrait a grainy feel. One of my favourite shots. Love the light through the window.
Taken in B&W
This old Saguaro cactus has been around the block!
Taken at Langstone Harbour, waiting for sunrise, the birds are all busy starting their day.
