This is a really quick charcoal sketch I did a few years ago that I pulled out while digging through some old work. Maybe it’s not the single greatest thing I’ve ever done, but I do think that the concept is interesting. Maybe? Maybe not? I dunno. Some of the sloppiness can be forgiven though, since this was really more of a sketch than anything. No? Maybe? Please? Leave me alone…I’m tired.

My kitty, Aurora after a “whirlwind” play session of about 10 minutes NONSTOP….completely exhusted laying on the hallway floor! This was such a CUTE picture…I just had to grab my camera, and hope she didn’t move when she saw me! Aurora is a rescued kitty. / I wouldn’t like to feed the photographers for which this photo is the plain and simple truth. Another instalment in my Nostalgia series although a little different then usual in the set-up. It’s a lot simpler a composition then most of my work, but let me assure you, it was so much harder to get right! Shot with my relatively new Pentax K10D and a very old Pentax-A 1:1.7 50mm objective. You can read all about the technique used in this tutorial more work / the calendar / preview / “Forgotten” was sold as a Medium mounted print to an anonymous buyer. Thank you! “Forgotten” is also freely downloadable as a wallpaper to decorate your desktop.

This usually demure, gorgeous little female Cardinal had just been sitting in a tree with her ‘husband’, when he suddenly became cranky and squawked and lunged at her. I saw the whole thing, and merely as a bystander, I can tell you that she did nothing to raise his ire. Moments later, as if in an act of misdirected irritation with her man, she defiantly crapped on the wing of the statue bird that is attached to the birdbath at the Rooftop Cafe. Immediately after she does this, she seems to be looking at her victim as if to say, ‘Sorry, that was meant for my husband…he’s being a bit of a turd himself, today’.... LavenderMoon~
