Autumn afternoons in the Western Cape are often magical. This was Friday afternoon – just got home from work, grabbed my gear and headed to this Camps Bay tidal pool, a place I frequently photograph. What a perfect way to kick off the weekend!
Petronas Towers, Kuala Lumpur. As seen providing wonderful rippling refelction across the infinity pool. Camera stabilised against a chair – 1/3 sec shutter speed.
Reflection on the water, reflection on the past. Like many West Aussie families in the 70’s, we liked to picnic at Mussel Pool. I don’t remember the park in detail, but on a recent visit, a sense of familiarity rose. Memories of inky water, dancing light and children laughing. Our greatest adventures were in our minds, acted out on the grassy banks of the pool. Shot on the same day as “Ripples, reeds, reflections” For enquires about canvas prints, or photographic prints larger than Redbubble options, please contact me via bubblemail
Taken in the night at the pool….I liked the of shapes and reflections…

A Blessed moment to be able to stand, observe and appreciate the grandeur of a new day dawning, while on the rocks at Point Grey at Lorne, on the Great Ocean Road.
I am so glad I turned the car around and pulled over to take this shot. The reflection is just about perfect, the sky was just fantastic.

My son has just completed his first lot of swimming lessons. These are his little feet, breaking through the waters surface. Untouched photograph shot on 35mm with a disposable waterproof toy camera that I picked up for $6 in one of those cheapo shops. Rota Island / Northern Mariana Islands Here you will find palm fringed beaches with virtually no one around, unbelievable diving, pristine waters and incredible volcanic formations. Located along the Marianas Trench which is the deepest known part of the world’s oceans, and the deepest location on the surface of the Earth’s crust. / The trench is about 2,550 kilometres (1,580 mi) long but has a mean width of only 69 kilometres (43 mi). It reaches a maximum depth of about 11,034 metres (36,200 ft) at the Challenger Deep, a small slot-shaped valley in its floor, at its southern end. Life on this island is friendly and unhurried and the hospitality is as unforgettable as the magical sunsets. Rota Island is a natural playground with around 3000 inhabitants and is known by many to be Micronesia’s best-kept secret Rota (Chamoru: Luta) also known as the “peaceful island”, is the southernmost island of the United States Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) and the second southernmost of the Marianas Archipelago. It lies approximately 40 miles north-northeast of the United States territory of Guam. Songsong village is the largest and most populated followed by Sinapalo village (Sinapalu). In 1521, the first European to see Rota, was the lookout on Magellan’s ship Victoria, Lope Navarro. However, Magellan’s Armada of three ships didn’t stop until they reached Guam, so the first European to arrive in Rota (in 1524), was Spanish navigator Juan Sebastian Elcano, who annexed it together with the rest of the Marianas Archipelago on behalf of the Crown of Spain.
