I saw this after parking the car in my city main street. It was a cigarette stub in a pool of water near the sidewalk. The sky and clouds’ reflection made this composition a really nice abstract.

Anybody feel like a dip? / Taking photos at a friend’s house, I decided to have a play with long exposures. This pool scene looked so serene and I really wanted to capture the depth of colour. It had just rained so everything was all glossy and clean. Using a tripod, Nikon D80, 18-200mm lens and a bit of experimenting, my best result was ISO 100, f/9, 18mm for 30 seconds.

This one was taken towards the end of the one of the open tracks in Kata Tjuta (also known as The Olgas). It’s taken using good old-fashioned film – a 15mm Sigma fisheye on an old Canon AE1-P body. It’s a really awe-inspiring and spectacular place.
