my fave subject in the whole world….love capturing her, which was how my passion in photography started in the first place :) she was playing with her winnie the pooh doll, she even tried giving him some water lol :P processed to mimic a film exposure….added some grain and extra noise to enhance the mood and give the film look. When strife and stress seem to capture our lives, / and worries rob our calmness; retreat back to the / days where dreams and complexities were simpler / and problems were trivial. They still are in relative / terms as we remember bears and owls, / magic wands and rabbits. The third verse to Kenny Loggins’ song is as follows; “It’s hard to explain how a few precious things / Seem to follow throughout all our lives. / After all’s said and done I was watching my son / Sleeping there with my bear by his side. / So I tucked him in, I kissed him and as I was going, / I swear that the old bear whispered… boy welcome home.” Wonderful little places are gifts.
A large percentage of the world’s honeybees have been MIA lately. Nobody knows for sure what the causes are, and we are just beginning to grasp what the effects in long term may be, but I am absolutely certain of one thing – this can’t be good news for Winnie The Pooh! This was my first project for my Digital Illustration class with David Hylton. Pen & Ink drawing, scanned into Photoshop, then colored in using different textures from photographs. Turned out to be a pretty big hit among my peers :)

Not a lot of people know that Tigger was a gun loving cool cat. Watch out Pooh! Enjoy.

Seems I’ve been flushing away a fortune every day… ‘Schoolboy’ sign modification at a local metal dealer’s yard. Oh the joys of sticky lettering! Finshed with light HDR and a lot of fiddly burning to bring out the cracked paint & brickwork.
On August 24, 1914, Lieutenant Harry Colebourn, V.S., of the 34th Fort Garry Horse & / Canadian Army Veterinary Corps, purchased a black bear cub at White River, Ontario, / while enroute overseas. He named her WINNIE after his hometown, Winnipeg. WINNIE became the soldier’s mascot, and was left in the care of the London Zoo on December 9, 1914 while Lieutenant Colebourn served in France. In 1919, he gave her to the Zoo for permanent keeping where she was watched and loved by many, including author A.A. Milne and his son Christopher. Small section of gang plank at Maylands Boatyard. I liked the contrasts: vertical/horizontal and warm/cool. If you look hard you can even see the duck pooh and the metal shaving. VIEW LARGER.
this is my lovely dog, he’s not really focusing on the camera, he wanted my food!
A portrait of my baby girl xoxo
I took this photo at home of my son painting Tigger. I mainly concentrated on getting him to keep the brush still for me on his way to the paper! / This macro work is untouched (don’t ask how many shots it took to get this!!)
Blown-out beach ball on the beach at dawn.
Claws on his hands, claws on his feet, / Bears are not like honey, they are not sweet. /
Created by the late William Epp, the near life-size bronze sculpture depicts a stalwart military officer, in full First World War uniform, holding a standing bear cub by its forepaws. Man and bear are gazing steadily into each other’s eyes, looking for all the world as if they’re waiting for some unseen orchestra to strike up a waltz.
THE SUBJECT: / This one proves that not all street photography is of people. / Here I have caught Winnie the Pooh in a candid moment. THE LOCATION: / Shot from my table at the new Créma Espresso Bar in the CBD of Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia on an early autumn day. THE MAKING of ‘Pooh Goes for a Ride’: / There I was sipping a [_]>a skinny flat white and having a chat with friends when I spotted the very colourful Pooh Bear cruising past in a 4WD having a great time. / Down went the mug, up came the preset camera and with a little panning I caught the famous bear before he disappeared up the road. / I decided on the use of selective colouring to remove or reduce all distractions to help emphasise the subject as he is so relatively small in the frame. / Fuji S9600: RAW, f/4.9 @ 1/85sec, ISO80, Hand held. / Lightroom 1.1 & Photoshop CS3.
