Found her on the internet, a shelter in North Carolina had posted her picture online. Jumped in the car the next day and drove 4 hours, hoping that she was still there. She was, in an absolutely apaulling animal shelter. Did the meet and greet and she’s been living with us for 4 years now. She’s the most lovable and loyal dog I’ve ever owned. This is Johnnie…Yes even while sitting for hours and hours in the surgical waiting room, I will find things to take pictures of… Anyway Johnnie’s master was having some pretty serious heart surgery and the wife brought him to the hospital and got special permission for Johnnie to see his human best friend when he woke up in the recovery room. He sat in his canvas carrier in a chair for as many hours as the rest of us and never made a sound. It was like Johnnie knew that this was a pretty serious time and I could only watch him for just so long and had to ask if I could take his picture. / As it turned out, his human best friend came through the surgery with flying colors… was able to see his wife and Johnnie when he woke up and I guess there was not a dry eye in the whole of the recovery room. Thanks for viewing my photography. /

Featured PAWS AND CLAWS Group July 2009 ChiChi decides to call it a day. She has put up the “Do not disturb” sign and staked her claim on one of her favourite cushions. However I did notice how nicely her colours blended with her surrounds. / ChiChi is 9+ years old … a cross between a Mini Poodle and a Shihtzu. She has the Shihtzu characteristic of keeping eye contact and does not understand that she is not a person. She believes it is her right to join in conversations .. and one of the people she really respects is my sister Dusker.
