I took this of the 2 monks chatting at Ankor Wat in Cambodia in 2006. This is exactly how i took this picture, there’s been no photoshopping or cropping. This is a 10×15” limited edition print with only 10 to be done in this format, there are only 6 left as 3 have been sold and 1 is the number 1 copy, which will be sold in the future. There’s a special little secret in this pic if you look closely, by the right hand monk’s right foot. Enjoy!

While sitting atop an overpass road waiting for a sunset image a jet flew overhead and ruined my sunset shot I was waiting for. Trying to make lemonade out of lemons I had my friend walk out to the ledge and pose for this image. Also know as Prometheus, I found this image to be compelling using both man, nature and an artifact of technology.

She was getting married in less than a week to someone in the military. We went out to the beach to go and check out “where” we would do her wedding. NIKON D80 I came across a fitting poem. This is my little brother. He recently had brain sugery to remove a cyst in his brain… this was taken just before the operation… the hope in his eyes is really inspiring it seems the operation has changed a little but not much… we all still hold hope that he will be able to attend high school next year and not have to be home schooled … this photo is dedicated to his struggle.

Ttv photograph using my Canon 40D with a 100mm macro lens through a Kodak Duaflex III. Taken at Sunset Cliffs. I watched this man walk all the way to the end and stand for the longest time… he had a lot to think about it seemed, and I could relate on so many levels. I wanted to savore that image more than just in my mind… and this is the result.

“Listen a hundred times; ponder a thousand times; speak once.” / - TURKISH PROVERB My son Kane had no idea I was photographing him at this time…He was just wondering sweetly along a path in a local parkland area when suddenly he stopped and leaned on the fence. I honestly could not believe what I was seeing through my viewfinder when he did it. Then when I saw the photograph it just blew me away. Kane is 3 years old in this photograph. This is my all time favourite photograph I’ve taken with my DSLR to date. Played with the colour version in photoshop and am very pleased with the outcome. Final of my 2:14am series ... maybe. What If? / Two very intriguing words. I find it hard to think about all the different Lives in this world, and how you can only be one. ONE! in the trillions and trillions and trillions you could have been in the past and future and you are only One… it is amazing. / It beats at my mind, it proves how insignificant one life is no matter what you accomplish. You spend 80 or so years, if you’re Lucky, being this person, in this time, doing whatever it is you are doing and thats it. You have no idea what it would be like to be another person, in the distant past, future or in the now. there are 6 billion here in present time, You may think you are 1 in 6 billion, but when you put in all those that have once lived, going back to the first spark of human life up to now and then you add the many many MANY more yet to even be close to dawning this world you feel like nothing, a grain of sand against the largest Star, or even less. Think of all those people you could be just by making one little change, If you made that green light, if you didn’t trip over that gutter, if you had eggs for breakfast instead of cereal today or if you never saw this image. It seems insignificant, but its something you will never know the effects of, all you know is what you are now because what you have or haven’t done. You are a completely different person because of it, it may not seem it but thats only because you do not know the other side of that moment that you just let blow unnoticed right in front of your eyes. as with my other image when solitude is required… this image was taken near a house i used to live in… / this place way my favorite place to be alone i used to find myself wandering through the bush and way down at the bottom of the hill im the middle of victorian native bushland there stood an old pine tree that didnt quite fit… as it turned out this tree became quite known to me i used to find myself here often… / it was / “my place” / somewhere to be alone and just simply be…. featured in Sepia Only / top ten place in sepia-portraits challenge
