It’s been so long since I posted on the Bubble, I could be in a meeting introducing myself: “Hi, I’m Andy Mueller and I have not been on the Bubble in 6 days”. The other folks in the room clap their hands in amazement ….6 days? Wow …... So, let me dive right back in with yet another Duck image, dedicated to Mr. Bermingham! Yes indeed, I’m back my friend …... Some may think that these are Geese, but I truly believe them to be Farm Ducks or Pekin Ducks. My art with 1000+ views

As a child, my treasured stuffed animal (as all children tend to have) was a little squirrel who went on every kind of adventure with me, and my favorite story was about a lil’ squirrel named “Miss Suzy” – written by Miriam Young, and illustrated by Arnold Lobel. I love the thought of the tiny leaf-boat capturing the attention of the denizens of the pond as it passes by en route to a wonderous place. January 10th, 2009 – WOW!! Thank you so much for the front page feature!!! I’m so delighted! If you like Columbus – you might enjoy some of my other little animal works!! / / /

Mallard duck The mallard is a large and heavy looking duck. It has a long body and a long and broad bill. The male has a dark green head, a yellow bill, is mainly purple-brown on the breast and grey on the body. The female is mainly brown with an orange bill. It breeds in all parts of the UK in summer and winter, wherever there are suitable wetland habitats, although it is scarcer in upland areas. Mallards in the UK may be resident breeders or migrants – many of the birds that breed in Iceland and northern Europe spend the winter here. / Where to see them It is the commonest duck and most widespread so you have a chance of seeing it just about anywhere where there is suitable wetland habitat, even in urban areas. / When to see them All year round. / What they eat Seeds, acorns and berries, plants, insects and shellfish.
Green Heron falling easy prey to the Sigma 50-500mm, after he landed literally 10 yards away from me. Got images of him catching three fish and a dragonfly. I have been stalking this guy for over a year now, finally got a few keepers. Taken with Nikon D300 and Sigma 50-500mm.
I hope you see something in this ….. / there is just something about seeing three different birds. in a swamp…....... in the damp moist muggy.. habitat…..... each surviving. each leaving for now to do each do their thing. The wingos the anhinga must be tried. and this ritual of the wings spreading takes sometimes a good ten to fifteen minutes.. The stork eats its food.. the egret is patiently waiting for its next food source. and then watch out. it will spear it with that amazing beak ..
