Beautiful blue pond built in a perfect heart shape as viewed from the road, with a lovely early spring panarama in the background. All artwork is © Rhonda L. Hall, All Rights Reserved. You may not use, replicate, manipulate, redistribute, or modify this image without my express consent.
Contemporary art. Digital painting. Printed on only highest quality archival paper or canvas with average permanence rating from 75 to more than 100 years. A little pond is almost lost in dense bushes. Although some clouds are mirroring in water’s surface, that does not mean much. The clouds clearly not in a rainy mood – just playful, that is it. I cannot to lie, I am jealous to the flying creatures. It should be quite exciting to play around such a good looking nature – kind of a dream day-off to enjoy… The composition easily leads you eyes to original realm of the small part of the world and gifted your with inside beauty of a nature. This colorful work is a welcome addition to living or working space of any kind. The art is healing, and especially art of such a kind. This painting will do more than just uniquely decorate your space. It will help you eliminate subtle dysfunctions in your health and improve your mood on a constant basis.

/ This image was captured at the Japanese Gardens at Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, Washington. I felt the red of the pagoda and the fall colors of the maple complement each other well in the image of this reflection pond.

The Kibble Palace glasshouse, situated within the Botanic Gardens, is one of the most prestigious iron and glass structures remaining from the Victorian era. The building has a fascinating history, part of it having originally formed a conservatory at John Kibble’s home at Coulport, Loch Long from the 1860s to the early 1870s. Kibble began dismantling his glasshouse in 1872 and it was taken up the Clyde by barge and by cart to the Botanic Gardens in Glasgow’s West End where it was re-assembled and enlarged. / Glasgow, Scotland. The lotus flower is one of the most ancient and deepest symbols of our planet. / The lotus flower grows in muddy water and rises above the surface to bloom with remarkable beauty. At night the flower closes and sinks underwater, at dawn it rises and opens again. Untouched by the impurity, lotus symbolizes the purity of heart and mind. The lotus flower represents long life, health, honor and good luck. The Lotus or the Water Lily is an aquatic plant with broad floating green leaves and bright fragrant flowers that grow only in shallow waters. Based on the color of its flower, it is divided into two types, the red lotus flower and the white lotus flower. The beautiful flowers float and have many petals overlapping in a symmetrical pattern. Lotuses, prized for their serene beauty, are delightful to behold as their blossoms open on the surface of a pond
The lotus (Sanskrit and Tibetan padma) is one of the Eight Auspicious Symbols and one of the most poignant representations of Buddhist teaching. / The roots of a lotus are in the mud, the stem grows up through the water, and the heavily scented flower lies pristinely above the water, basking in the sunlight. This pattern of growth signifies the progress of the soul from the primeval mud of materialism, through the waters of experience, and into the bright sunshine of enlightenment. / Though there are other water plants that bloom above the water, it is only the lotus which, owing to the strength of its stem, regularly rises eight to twelve inches above the surface. / According to the Lalitavistara, “the spirit of the best of men is spotless, like the lotus in the muddy water which does not adhere to it.” / According to another scholar, “in esoteric Buddhism, the heart of the beings is like an unopened lotus: when the virtues of the Buddha develop therein, the lotus blossoms; that is why the Buddha sits on a lotus bloom.” / The lotus is one of Buddhism’s best recognized motifs and appears in all kinds of Buddhist art across all Buddhist cultures. Scrolling lotuses often embellish Buddhist textiles, ceramics and architecture. / Every important Buddhist deity is associated in some manner with the lotus, either being seated upon a lotus in full bloom or holding one in their hands. In some images of standing Buddhas, each foot rests on a separate lotus. / The lotus does not grow in Tibet and so Tibetan art has only stylized versions of it, yet it appears frequently with Tibetan deities and among the Eight Auspicious Symbols.
