Bodie Ghost Town in the Seirra Nevada Mountains in Eastern California. This 1800’s Gold town once had a thriving population of 10,000 people. It was a true wild western town with gun fights, saloons and a huge redlight district.
This is for Daniel and his poem / Verdict, If You Please Dear judge, dear jurors / Even those too shortsighted to look any further / Look in my face and tell me again / That I’m disgusting, a monster, demonic, perverted Do you know who I am? I can reap laughter like summertime rain / Even when despair is rooted deep in his ocean / Though he gets on my nerves / We were patient enough to wait… and wait… and wait… / For the passion to finally blossom / Into something much more unshakeable – devotion Yes, that cute little flower grew into a tree / Because we saw more in each other / Than a few sleazy hours of midnight glee / And instead chose something less temporary: The Living Water, given freely to me / Too good, too miraculous not to be shared / And I plan to forever quench his thirst / Regardless of how the years may change / The shape of our bodies, from limo to hearse / Or how Black will make room for the Gray in our hair Yes, I’d lay down my life for him / Even more if Jesus saw fit to give me more than life / But that was all, so that is all / No, that is ALL that I can / That I will / That I have / Given in my outstretched hands to him Yes, I’d lay down with him / My closeness I’d give him / And even if the sun, from now til Armageddon / Somehow couldn’t bring itself one more time to be risen / I’d keep myself near in the darkness / So my face would never, ever escape his vision And when life gets him weary / When his heart gets tired of beating / When Satan tempts him to cry out for a knife / Like the cure is the impulse to get his chest bleeding There exists not a moment that my hands won’t find his / Nor a moment when his forehead won’t deserve to be kissed / I’ll place a finger to stem the sobs that pour out his lips / And remind his soul just how undeniably beautiful it is Now, if that fills his cup / If that is enough / If I could shield him from death / Just by singing to him the faintest echoes / Of God’s unconditional love Every day, every night / Every ounce of this gift called time What if I decide / To stay by his side / To sing him that song for the rest of my life? Tell me, dear judge, dear jurors / Who look at me and think their hearts to be purer / Tell me again (perhaps now it’ll sink in) / That what I’ve done for him is a horrific, detestable sin

Actually, who are you not to be? / You are a child of God. / Your playing small does not serve the world. / There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. / We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. / It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. / And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. / As we are liberated from our own fear, / our presence automatically liberates others.” by Marrianne Williamson ~ excerpts from Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles. Featured Entertainment Digital Art 07 September 2007 ~ “When I am Gone Away ~ Sri Chinmoy wrote this song for his students in 1976, and asked that it be sung only upon his entry into Mahasamadhi and departure from this earth. “During the memorial service for Sri Chinmoy yesterday, the song was sung by a choir of Sri Chinmoy’s students in a way that brought heaven down to earth. When I am gone away Remember me, O children sweet, / No, not because I failed, / No, not because I cried, / No, not because I tried, / No, not because I saw my Lord in you, / No, not because I served my Lord in you, / No, not because I fulfilled my Lord in you, / No, not because I was your Pilot true, / No, not because I was your Infinite blue, / Oh, but because my life was all gratitude, / Gratitude, / gratitude / To you, / to you, / my sweet children, / to you.” Sri Chinmoy died 11 October 2007

This is one of our bridges and many many people jump into the fraser River. There has been so so many times on a monday morning where they have had to close down the bridge because there has been a jumper. :o( This bridge is so very old and they are constantly repairing it. It is also very conjested. I have been hearing that they will be building a new bridge. / / / /

I actually took this photo while I was driving along at about 40 km’s an hour (hence the haziness). A complete moment of temporary insanity when I was a little camera crazy :D LOL I wasn’t aiming for this picture… but when I saw it… I really liked it. I don’t know why… but this really appeals to me.
