I have been selected to join the Australian THEBIPOLAREXPEDITION and to ski to the South Pole in November 2009. THEBIPOLAREXPEDITION a not-for-profit initiative is aimed at building a new awareness about the issues facing people with Bipolar Disorder and to raise funds to give grants for vital research into the causes and more effective diagnosis. We have partnered with the Australian Rotary Health Research Fund and the Black Dog Institute, and have arranged for Network Ten to be a media sponsor. The Bipolar Expedition is an exciting adventure aimed at raising awareness and money for research into Bipolar Affective Disorder. The Bipolar Expedition involves two treks – one to the South Pole in November 2008 and one to the North Pole in April 2009. Video footage from both will be made into a documentary about Bipolar Expedition (and fundraising activities during the lead up to the treks) . This work is very close to my heart, both because of the plight of our world’s Polar Bears and also because I know the power of a mother’s love. My entry for the Earth Hour – Climate change competition. Think of the big guys (and little guys) up North and turn ya lights off between 8:30-9:30pm local time on the 28th of March. C’mon there’s plenty of things you can do in the dark ….......... like … hand shadows with a torch …........ or play ‘Murder in the Dark’!!!! .............. ahh fill in your own hour, i know what i’ll be doin’!!!!

I remember watching all the documentaries on tv and i can’t help but tear each time i see animals suffering.. One that really strikes me is when they show this polar bear who had to swim for god knows how many days just to find food!! By the time it found land, there’s only darn HUGE walruses and out of desperation, the polar just tried its luck and attack them and fail!! it ends up with an injured leg.. then the voiceover said.. he’s more likely just waiting to die now.. since he’s injured, and he can’t get any food, and he’s already HALF his weight.. T_T I was like, somebody save them!! when i see them walking on thin ice.. slipping and falling… T_T and then i saw news on all the pollution thingy and how countries are so hesitant on reducing their pollution i was like..
