When we are at Elwood or St.Kilda, the bayside inner city suburbs of Melbourne, Point Ormond is one of my reference points. / This day was overcast with intermittent breaks of patches of clear sky. Once again, I used the Diana F to capture this sentinel on the hill.

I am most proud of this shot so far in my short time doing photography. This image incorporates my passionate nature with my love of the ocean. I used to lobster fish with my Dad and so the ocean holds a lot of dear, and not so dear LOL, memories for me. I almost froze my hands off doing this. It was snowing a little while before I took this shot so you can imagine close to the water, with a breeze, how cold it was. However, in the name of love and romance, anything goes! LOL

Preservation parc of St-Lauwrence river(Patrimoine) / I used to go with my mother at Point-au-Père along the St-Lawrence river just for evening and night before reaching Grand-Anse,New-Brunswich, the village where she grew up.I had long walks on those rocs when I was very young,when I saw the little church it all came back to me.I saw myself with my little sister Maryse and my brother Peter picking up rocs and shells and the sun was going down,I was 14 years old…souvenir …souvenir…..an untouched shot. / Better view larger. / /

This particular place is called The White Point. It consists of a stone gathering on the beach stretching several hundred feet out in the water. Out there it’s called the White Point Reef, and many a small craft has had intimate contact with the hard rocks lying just a couple of feet below the surface. / On both sides are stretches of wonderful, sandy beaches. As you see, the sky was quite unusual this day. Taken on the west coast of the Danish island of Bornholm in The Baltic Sea. / / /

Coming home from a job in Melbourne today, i saw there was some crazy light about so went for a drive to Point Lonsdale. While there this stunning double and vibrant rainbow appeared. I was running backwards up the beach in the rain to try and fit the rainbow into my 24ml lens. I left my 17ml at home. Damn about that. A couple walking on the beach said to me they have lived in the area for 25 years and walk the beach quite often and said that they have never seen such a perfect, vibrant rainbow as this. Was just a beautiful and awesome sight to behold.
