During the war while the world fought and wept / A love was discovered when two young souls met / They found one another at a dance one clear night / Their hearts filled with hopes dreams and awe / And in their embrace they knew they had found / A passion for all to adore / He was her world and she was his / Together they were content / No matter how bad the hardship and turmoil / That daily life in those times meant / How much can a person love another / To measure it doesnt seem fair / But if one did attempt to judge their love / You couldnt find a more suited pair / Their love it would last a lifetime / It was so pure and selfless and bright / And it would prove to be an inspiration / To all those touched by its light / All the beauty in the world was reflected tenfold / When they would gaze into each others eyes / A love this beautiful that fills the soul / Never truly dies / And now he waits in heaven / Patiently for his bride / For one day when the time is right / To meet him by his side / And when their souls are reunited / The very Heavens will rejoice / And we’ll see the light so bright from Heaven / lighting up the world This is dedicated to my beautiful grandmother Rose in memory of my grandfather Brian, who sadly passed away last month. / Their love truly has been inspirational aswell as the strength, passion and character they both possess. 100% OF ALL PROCEEDS FROM SALES OF MY ART OR DONATED ART GOES TO PHILADELPHIA MISSION, A REGISTERED CHARITY. WE WORK WITH EXTREME POOR SICK AND DISABLED IN ISOLATED AND RURAL AFRICAN VILLAGES. This is Violet aged 15 years old. She works in the fields from sunrise to sunset. Her Parents are dead. Violet works the small plot of land hoping to grow enough food for herself, her three younger brothers and sick Grandfather. she has a disability caused by Rickets, a disease that is common here. Her upper and lower limbs are bowed outwards. Yet Violet must force herself to work, or her dependants will starve. Please help us to help her and many more like her. This poem was beautifully written by a very talented poet and Writer called Adgray. God Bless you for wring this fitting piece . Does she dream of dancing and movies and fun / this girl with the faraway eyes / Has she the wish to kiss Brad Pit / Did she cry when Heath Ledger died? / What does she wish for when Christmas comes? / an ipod or mobile phone? / Does she complain there’s no chocolate again / in the fridge when she gets home. We complain we don’t have enough to survive / Money to cover our bills / and purchase the service and goods we desire / AND the luxury home in the hills / But where does it say life must be this way / That we have and she has not / That our world be of greed luxury and games / and hers of pain and hard lot. I look in the depths of these faraway eyes / and I think of my own teenage life / How I struggled with that I was expected to do / and rebelliously got into strife / I look at my own daughter of fifteen years / And know how I fiercely protect her / I support all her learnings and all her dreams / and use all my wisdom to guide her. But they are similar these girls far apart / for my daughter also cares for her home / She looks out for her younger siblings as well / and is rarely allowed to roam. And I wonder if having is really a curse / for to have not enough creates stress / equal to that of not enough food / but granted the consequence is less I shall show all my children these faraway eyes / for this girl is also one of their peers / their ages are similar their wants must compare / how I long to abate all her tears / I cannot succeed in my western world life / I struggle myself to survive / But oh how I wish I could lavish life’s gifts / On those beckoning faraway eyes. This is another of the flowers from my show and poems for her. “As I watched her age over the years every new line in her face made her look more beautiful today then when I first met her 20 years ago she to me was my eternal flower”
This is a framed 14”x 12” acrylic painting on watercolour cold pressed paper of Long Island at the Whitsundays in Queensland, Australia. My first acrylic painting. Painted to keep the memory alive of a holiday my husband and I took there earlier this year. The sea was calm and sparkling with the sun’s reflection, and the day was warm and peaceful. If I made a seachange from the country this is where it would be to. This is nature at its best! Memories linger of times gone by / of sparkling seas and beautiful skies / lazy days of holding hands / love in our eyes and golden sands / never to be forgotten always near / forever treasured and held so dear FEATURED IN / ALPHABET SOUP
An acrylic painting, 15” x 12” on Arches watercolour paper of a couple in love silhouetted against the vibrant brilliant colours of the heart of the sun, oblivious to everything except each other. Trusting this painting brings the one you love to mind. / / Come with me and take my hand / together we will walk onto the sand / our love will keep us warm all night / please kiss me softly and hold me tight! We all need to be loved and it is love that keeps the world turning….. FEATURED IN: ALL ABOUT WATER / CREATIVE CARDS / FIRST THINGS / MORNINGS AND EVENINGS, SUNBEAMS AND STORMS / GOING COASTAL / NO. 1 ARTISTS OF RED BUBBLE
Mixed media, mostly acrylic on canvas with a couple of heart shaped buttons and my clothing label as a signature. This painting is an expression of the heart of me which is no longer bound by the persecutions or misunderstandings of others who label me too creative, extreme or mystical because I dare to dream, I dare to love….. Knightly Vision Amongst the flowers of the Lord’s garden I see another figure approaching, being unaccustomed to any company in the field of love I am roused from my reflections and as my eyes watch the approaching figure I see a knight in blue with a royal emblem on his chest, a golden shimmer of the royal seal catches my gaze. The Lord draws closer to me and watches my reactions as this new figure approaches and His face is filled with warmth, I see the warmth of the Lord mirrored in this knightly figure and any apprehensions slip away like water. / I see his face now. His tender eyes meet mine and my heart skips. What is this manner of knight who approaches that stops my heart and causes me to draw my breath in? I look for the Lord’s eyes to comfort me, fearing it may be but a dream or an illusion sent (yet again) from the Tempter. But this time, I am reassured with a powerful rush of warmth and peace. / His sword, the familiar sword of truth, gleams from his side. Again I feel my soul comforted by the sight of the Lord’s armour for I recognize the clothing of God, I recognize my fellow warrior for Christ. But his gaze fills my soul. / No shallow, empty soul is this / Pools of light they do emit / Shining love in God’s raiment / A gentleman, a Christian friend He sets himself alongside me / Our eyes have locked, no words can be / My heart has caused my breath to flee / He notices and smiles tenderly His arms reach forth to embrace my weakness / I cannot speak in my female meekness / His nearness sends my heart to pounding / I long for his kiss to start herald’s sounding He senses the yearning that my trembling gives away / Leaning towards me, his lips start to say / More than words could ever convey / Safe in his presence my fears have no place Just one moment, just this time / Oh let it be so, oh let it be mine / Here in this garden where no evil can enter / Where the Lord is our guardian, our protector Away from the world, away from it’s pain / A Knight and his Lady, one and the same….. /

Taken while traveling through remote Nigeria in Niger Delta Region. This young boy came running towards our vehicle and we stopped for a welcome break, after 7 hours of bumpy dusty tracks. He wanted to sell us one of his animals. I felt so sorry for him, that I give him what he asked, after being told by one of our Missionary guides he had asked the going price. I refused to take his animal, as I felt we had enough food, and he looked so thin. After this he insisted that I should visit his settlement. After much persuasion with the team We did. None had heard about Jesus and his Love. All received Jesus as Lord. We also were able to give multi-vitamin tablets to the senior elder, and he promised to give each one a Tablet every day. It was a blessing. We now have a Local Missionary who visits the settlement each week. 100% of all proceeds from sale of my art goes toward helping the extreme poor, sick and isolated in villages in Africa.. PLEASE READ THIS. Taken in remote Nigeria. I and the team were waiting for the ferry to cross then Nile and continue our long journey to Tunga Zuga Village in kebbe state. Often my work as a missionary, working with extreme poor and sick children can be very emotional.Tears of sorrow and heartbreak, desperation and frustration overwhelm me as I and the small mission team do what we can with the little we have to help. yet there are times like this one when there is joy and happiness as I see people and scenes of great beauty. Truly God has blessed me with a wonderful life. I have never had the joy of owning my own home, or having a nice car or wealth. yet I am so happy to have a relationship with Jesus.God supplies all my needs, and I have travelled with God to many villages and he has blessed many. Life is more than a job,Career, wealth or designer cloths. Life is living in Gods presence everyday and experiencing his love and peace. Life for me is doing what is in Gods heart and that is helping the extreme poor. My Inspiration and passion is from God. I Live for him and he lives through me. I have been on mission and not a penny in my pocket, yet my heavenly father has met my needs, concerning Food, lodging, travel and covered all expenses. One one occasion, he sent an angel to pay my hotel bill. While in India The Lord moved me so much to travel overnight on a train, a day early to return to London. If I had not obeyed his leading, I would have been killed in a terrorist bombing. Its a wonderful Life with God. Thou who doth move my soul, / Verily I say unto thee, / Come hither unto me and lay thee down. Thou dost move the stars. / Yet thou dost still them, too. / Thou causeth the sky reflect thine eyes. Come hither unto me. / Dwell with me in this house, / In this bed. Layest thou down, / Betwixt petals of my tortured heart, / my tender soul, my gardens. Come hither, my beloved. For thy beauty hath no equal, / And my love for thee, no bounds. Come hither, my darling, / And never, never goeth. Thou hast caused me wax tears again. / Thereby, shalt thou know, thou art beloved. Come hither, thou, and lay thee down, poet. Thou art my beloved. Thou art my beloved, evermore…
