Hello and welcome to all Red Bubblers in this group! I am really excited about reading, exploring and debating artistic pieces of work that are so typical of so many talented writers on RB. A few house rules: (1) Let’s try to keep it to 1-2 downloads per person on a daily basis to allow the work to be viewed and not flood the group page please. / (2) Have fun and be as creative as you like / (3) When commenting or feeding back remember to be sensitive – artists are sensitive people! / (4) Any queries about the group – send me a Bubblemail and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. / (5) Any ideas or suggestions – I’m all ears Most of all enjoy! Here’s to an unfolding magical journey of creativity and the inspiration that comes with being part of such a wonderful group of people! Suzanne
This old tree stands on top a gnarly peak on the far east border of Glassier National Park where the long and great plans suddenly and somewhat unexpectedly jump up in a shear wall of stone. It was not alone but stood with the corpses of many other trees who for some reason or other had ceased being able to live in the hostile environment that had given them birth and carved their living flesh into such masterpieces of wood. This one, though, this one was different. It was bigger and more warped and had lived far longer then any of its brethren or children that lay scatted about, and something in the way the silver wood gleamed, something in the way that it reached so far, forever seeking shelter from the wind, left me standing in awe.
Sales of this Design? – 1 sale so far :) / Ride Like the Wind is a card from the Beach Series and Inspired Series by Karin Taylor….. / in the dark of night she escapes suburbia to find the giant swell of the rolling ocean beckoning her from the shoreline…..she notices a makeshift board on the edge, where the waves ebb and flow in a cheeky hello…....bracing herself, she skims the board through the shallows and onto the wave, which picks her up as though it were cradling her in it’s arms, throws her forward and there she stands in all her glory, the moonlight guiding her way to another land, where in the soft glow of the morning light ~ life will be gentler, people kinder and her heart can mend….... Ride Like the Wind is a mixed media production on canvas textured paper / inkpastelacryliccharcoal~heart /
My origami calendar A sailboat folded out of a 6×10mm piece of paper rowing along the lifeline in my palm. Wow I didn’t realize my hand had all these lines :P. I didn’t turn this into a black and white this time because I managed to get a cool light on my hand to make it more waterlike. The flow of life is parrallel to a journey off the land. It begins smooth, then the waves of adulthood brings high tides which we must overcome, However at the end of the ride, everything is smooth again. Ironically the lifeline in my palm depicts this flow; it begins smooth, then there is a big split and begin to ruffle, but towards the end it comes back together again. This concept was originally generated in May 2008, but I bought a tripod later on and re-shot this on September 2, 2009 For a better idea of scale: / / / This work has been featured in: / Two Word Challenge / / / Also available at Zazzle / / / / Works by Category / / Origami / Drawings,Paintings and Graphics / Abstract Photography / Guessing Games Flowers, Trees and Plants / Water and Waterscapes / Scenery/Skyscapes / Light, Shadow, and Reflections / Still Life Living Creatures / Human Portrait Japanfluence / Canada / Europe More sample origami: / / / / / / / / / ‘Serenity’, the Firefly spacecraft (My own design) / / / / / / / / / / /

A monarch Butterflies are beautiful, flying insects with large scaly wings. Like all insects, they have six jointed legs, 3 body parts, a pair of antennae, compound eyes, and an exoskeleton. The three body parts are the head, thorax (the chest), and abdomen (the tail end). The four wings and the six legs of the butterfly are attached to the thorax. The thorax contains the muscles that make the legs and wings move. Butterfly Estates Gardens at Fort Myers, Florida

Letting go to swim in the heat of day I jump, frown, feel dizzy and hold onto the side of a doorway. As if I will fall. Or maybe the door is falling. I am only threading a needle with time and hoping today with be tomorrow and yet then it will be too soon. I feel as if I’m hanging on by a thread. And the next day is similar. I don’t understand what is the problem. Then I realize there really isn’t one. So it’s OK. I can let go of the thin safe string and drift out to sea or to the clouds or just across the street or inward to a place of forever color and never ending sign posts leading to my soul. / Hanging on by a Thread is acrylic, gesso, ink on canvas 30 in. X 30 in.
An abandoned pleasure craft up on blocks at St Marks, Florida … hunting around underneath the hull I found some wonderful art work. Nikon D90 with Nikon 60mm macro on tripod f/13 1/40s ISO 400. I see waves rolling in one behind the other, with the dawn sun catching the one about to break on the shore.
