  • Charade
    by nook

    US$27.93

Very simple really, it’s the plot of Charade. I’m a big Audrey fan, but I hate all the cliche glitzy renditions of her, so I created my own. Besides she did more films than bloody Breakfast at Tiffany’s. other work by nook

  • The plot thickens and condenses, allowing Dostoyevsky’s Underground Man to escape the pages that have been written for him.

  • Remembrance...
    by Kevin Kroeker

    US$6.65–US$152.00

I went to the cemetery today to just enjoy the peace and serenity. My wife and I walked through and read the old head stones that dated as far back as the very early 1800’s. It’s hard to not imagine the lives of these people and what it was like on earth in their time. What lives they led and adventures they had… then your mind turns to those they left behind. This headstone is the burial place of a husband and wife from 1921 and 1927. After all these years someone still leaves flowers on their graves in remembrance. / / / / / / / / / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography /

  • A Gerbera that lost the plot
    by SandraRos

    US$3.99–US$22.80

Gerbera L. is a genus of ornamental plants from the sunflower family (Asteraceae). It was named in honor of the German naturalist Traugott Gerber

  • Some of Sacramento California’s architecture is completely unique to me. This is a prime example. I can’t begin to guess if this is unique, odd, or representative of a style never before seen in the downtown of my town. But it has been less than a mile from my home for…however long it’s been less than a mile from my home. I didn’t see it go up (or come down from space with the Jetson’s). A historical amount of editing went into this shot to get the perspective correct. Nothing I shot had the incredibly narrow building looking like anything inhabitable: too skinny, too tilted, fat at the base and tiny at the top, etc. Then I thought about the cars and it all came together in a few seconds. The cars didn’t need my comparison shots because they always look like the same cars. Once I got the cars right and matched them to the top of the structure, the entire thing just…. well, looked as weird as it does now. Weird but accurately weird. PS There’s a sub-story that goes along with this shot. It included things like “I AM standing in front of it!” and “It can’t be more than three rooms wide” and “OK, it still looks weird from the top of this adjacent parking garage but the rest of the downtown looks less weirder”. But I’ll save that story for another time. Like never. Ever. Trust me.

  • The Gunpowder Plot
    by AndyReeve

    US$3.99–US$91.20

Forgive the punning title. This plot or rather valley is the site of an old gunpowder factory. I know tenuous connection. Kennal Vale is a beautiful and peaceful place. It’s right here in Cornwall and just up the road from me. I often visit for a chill. When you are in Cornwall do visit as there are so many photo opportunities. Old stone built factory buildings driven by water wheels. Streams are diverted high up along the top edge of the valley which are diverted again down hill to drive the wheels. Such clever engineering. Lots of trees which kept the valley and the gunpowder moist. They had a second use – to dampen the effects of an accidental explosion. From Falmouth > A393 to Pomsanooth. Turn left by village shop and up the hill and park by the entrance gate. (Narrow road – park prettely).

  • Prairie Past
    by Trayci Deptuck

    US$5.98–US$136.80

Not far from town, off an old dirt road stands Bethel Evangelical Church from 1914. Behind the church you will find an amazing grave site from the early 1900’s. Very overgrown, but still very intriguing.

  • These very pretty and delicate little Aussie wildflowers are of the species Caesia parviflora var minor (Small Pale Grass Lily). The flowers are sooooo tiny – as small as your little fingernail from tip to tip and are spaced along a relatively long, very thin, wiry stem. They were very difficult to photograph within the very shallow depth of field in which I had to work as I wriggled around on the ground, propping myself up with one elbow trying to get the right angle in the right light. These beauties were photographed along the Plots Fire Trail in Lake Innes National Park, just south of Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia, on a wonderful spring day. • This brilliant red wildflower stood out so well against all the greenery in very bright light along Plot’s Fire Trail, just south of Port Macquarie , NSW, Australia, in the Lake Innes National Park . The flower is a fine example of Callistemon pachyphyllus (Wallum Bottlebrush) . Fuji S5500: RAW, Manual settings of f/2.8 @ 1/1000sec, Macro, Hand held. / Lightroom 1.1 & Photoshop CS3.
