  • As Is. / This wonderful artwork transformed by the effects of late afternoon sunlight and shadow in the central plaza area of the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center near the Old Town area of Albuquerque, New Mexico. There must be at least 50 shafts of light falling across the artwork. / The Centre is owned by the 19 Pueblos of New Mexico and features educational programmes and exhibitions and is a unique place to learn about the fascinating Pueblo cultures and traditions and the people. An absolute must see if you’re in Albuquerque. / www.indianpueblo.org Featured in Public Art group, RedBubble, July 2009 / /

  • I love repeating patterns. They’re just cool. I took this picture of the Royal Meridian Plaza Athenee Hotel in Bangkok when we stayed there a few years ago. This is just the straight picture taken with my Digital rebel & the kit lens. No photoshopping or cropping done, which is kinda weird for me! I’ll probably do another version of this with some crazy enhancements & such. Let me know what you think!

  • Plaza de España Featured as the Cairo British Army HQ’s, Naboo, and the Digital Fortress intro. / None of which I’ve seen/read.

  • Plaza de España Castling is cheap. / Thank you.

  • “Their guardian angel” was featured in the groups / Soul Mates / Candid Photography and / Queer and Gender Theories (31-10-2009) Photo taken in the Plaza Mayor Square – a central, impressive Madrid square, Spain, in July 2008. This wall is covered with colorful paintings. There was (what seemed to be) a gay wedding going on in and below this building. Below, on the street/square, there were lots of signs of a wedding, with a decorated car waiting, baloons etc. The following info was taken from Wikipedia: Same-sex marriage in Spain was legalized in 2005. In 2004, the nation’s newly elected Socialist government, led by President José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, began a campaign for its legalization, which would include adoption by same-sex couples. After much debate, a law permitting same-sex marriage was passed by the Cortes Generales (Spain’s bicameral parliament, composed of the Senate and the Congress of Deputies) on 30 June 2005 and published on 2 July 2005. Same-sex marriage officially became legal in Spain on Sunday, 3 July 2005. The ratification of this law has not been devoid of conflict, despite support from 66% of the population. Roman Catholic authorities in particular were adamantly opposed to it, criticising what they regarded as the weakening of the meaning of marriage. Other associations expressed concern over the possibility of lesbians and gays adopting children. Demonstrations for and against the law drew thousands of people from all parts of Spain. After its approval, the conservative People’s Party challenged the law in the Constitutional Court. Approximately 4,500 same-sex couples married in Spain during the first year of the law.

  • I had the pleasure of going to Plaza El Agua (Water Plaza), it sits right next to the Macagua hydroelectric dam and the Caroni Eco-Museum in Bolivar state, Venezuela. Families often come to the park and play with their children in the open fields, I came to catch the last golden rays of the sun as they are caught and reflected/refracted by the water fountains. / I met some great photographers from the city who had come to talk and shoot a few frames. / For me, who likes landscape photography, I usually include the human element with structures, but not the people themselves (I love slow shutter speeds and that doesn’t go well with photographing people), so it was difficult to compose, frame and shoot the angles I wanted without having someone walk into the frame. Still I had a blast and went home with some great images.
