Whale Watching in Long Beach…. This Gray Whale was kept busy with the antics of a Sea Lion that was playing with him as he surfaced for air. If you look at the photo large you are able to see the Sea Lion in the upper left. Everytime this whale surfaced this Sea Lion was right there playing with him! Nikon D80 / Lens 50-200mm

I was shooting some surfers right before sunset, when, out of nowhere, the waves stopped, and the moon emerged from behind the horizon to eclipse the sun.

Taken from my workplace in a Port Hardy, BC on Vancouver Island. / Sea-lions thrash their food like this to break it up, easier to swallow! The gulls gather round for any morsels they can get while the sea-lions are doing this. I took the gulls out of this picture. / Thank you always for viewing ! /
